Suggestions for a Galaxy's Edge day at Disneyland

Not sure if they still do this, but they used to sell special gift cards in the shops. it is a Star Wars "coin" We bought 2 of them for 100.00 each and then redeemed them at Savi's and kept the coins!

Yes they do still sell them, its called a Spira. I bought one in January at Star Wars Trading Post, the Star Wars shop in Downtown Disney. It costs $5 and you have to load $100 on it at the time of purchase. It can be used the same way as normal gift cards. I added it to the gift card website and transferred a balance from an email gift card. I used it for my spending money in the park, not only in shops and restaurants but on the App for mobile ordering, Genie+ and Individual Attraction Lightning Lane.

If there are new cm's in shops or restaurants, some don't know what it is but most cm's do. The only place where a cm didnt know it was when I went to reload it and put more money on it at World of Disney in Downtown Disney. The cm was new and it was the reload a gift card process that she didnt know and had to get help from a colleague.

This is my one, there is a bar code and card number on the back, the same as normal gift cards. The writing on the paper holder is Aurebesh, its fun to translate it :)

By far my favorite souvenir. It didn't cost $5 at first, you just needed to load $100 or more into it. Alas, times change but $5 is not a bad price tbh.

There was a gold one at first, they had silver like yours last time I went. I'm kinda hoping they have a dif one next time I go :D

I got the gold one when the land first opened. I love it!

I bought a spork from Docking Bay. I don't know if they continue to sell the spork, but it comes with a neat cloth sack and it is my most cherished trinket. I use it frequently with my morning cereal.

My sister and I both brought our sporks with us to the parks on our most recent trip and used those to eat the Food & Wine Fest items! Unfortunately, I didn't see the sporks available for mobile order when we were there earlier this month, and I didn't get a chance to stop in to Docking Bay 7 in person. Hopefully it's a supply chain thing and they'll be back soon.

Yeah, I guess I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't stuck on a shipping container anchored 3 miles from Long Beach.

Hello! I'm back and finalizing my plans. I have a couple of follow-up questions. I already purchased Genie+ when I bought our tickets, and I am planning to purchase the ILL for Rise. We're heading back to Disneyland for one more day later in the week. For this Galaxy's Edge focused day (probably 8 a.m. to 5ish p.m.), does it make sense to hit another attraction or two at rope drop (maybe Indiana Jones and perhaps something else) before we head back to experience all that Star Wars has to offer Here's what's on the agenda time-wise:

Plan to mobile order lunch at Docking Bay 7
Savi 1:50 p.m.
Droid Depot 2:50 p.m.
Oga's Cantina for a drink at 3:50 p.m. (Mouse Dining came through for me)

Would you hit another ride or two before Galaxy's Edge?

If you really want pictures of the Savi experience, then definitely do two (2) separate reservations/times. That way, the opposing person can take the pics of the one building. It's pretty cool, and wish we had thought to do that at the time. We both booked together, and it's hard to keep up with the process, and take good pics at the same time.

And you can definitely have them store your purchase at the Droid Depot. They ask that you pick up your item(s) by 15 mins to closing. We purchased a Dark Saber at Dok's, and had the Droid Depot hold it until we left that evening.

I also agree with the previous posters, come back and see SWGE at night. The mood is great, and you can get some really great pics then.
