Suggest a comedy show

When Things Were Rotten, a 1975 Mel Brooks parody show about Robin Hood. This starred Dick Gautier and lasted for 13 episodes before getting canceled (to the shock of the producers, who thought they wouldn't dare cancel anything that was made by Mel Brooks). The cast also included Bernie Kopell who went on to "The Love Boat" and Dick Van Patten who would go on to star in "Eight is Enough". Ron Rifkin, best known for "Alias", also had a recurring minor role as Prince John.

Mel Brooks had better luck with Robin Hood later on with "Men in Tights".

Here's the opening theme song:

Jury Duty on Netflix.

I guess technically it's a game show. But it's hilarious.

love 'corner gas'

need to watch my original uncut set of 'absolutly fabulous' (realized how much great comedy is cut from brit shows airing in the u.s. after we watched 'are you being served' and 'father ted' on dvd).

Hitchhikers Guide ti the Galaxy - TV Show was so much better than movie.

the radio show is SPECTACULAR. got it for dh and ds to listen to a few years ago-both are huge fans of the book/tv show.

New Girl - we discovered this one at the start of COVID and found ourselves rationing the last season episodes because we didn't want it to end. They just moved the entire run to Hulu. If you watch only one episode make sure it's the one that Prince did a cameo in.

Lately I've been catching up on Taskmaster. Sort-of a game show with comedians performing silly tasks. I find myself LOLing at least once an episode. First 6 seasons are on Pluto, everything else is on AppleTV, but I've also heard all episodes are on YouTube - not sure about that

Ed (technically listed as a "comedy-drama") - I ran across it a few years ago in reruns, and loved it!

IMDb describes it as: "A separated, fired NYC lawyer returns to his hometown in Ohio, meets old high school friends and cute crush, buys a bowling alley and opens a law office in it." It stars a bunch of people you'll know from other shows.

Here's the 30-second trailer:

The Carol Burnett Show, especially with Tim Conway's "Elephant Story" sketch (and Vicki Lawrence's sketch-stopping question). 🤣
