Well, I think you've probably guessed by now what our first park of the trip was! Stitch called and woke us up at 6:15 the next morning, and I was up and ready in 20 minutes! I needed to get to the Magic Kingdom, and I needed to get there NOW.
We walked the 10 feet over to Sassagoula Floatworks to get some breakfast. God bless the angelic cast members that made my building the closest to the food court.
I just HAD to have one of these babies:
How can you go to Disney and not have at least one Mickey waffle? That's just not right in my opinion. This one was loaded with yummy fresh strawberries, most of which are hiding under Mickey's handsome little face. These waffles are just SO good. They taste like pure magic.
Dave and Mike decided to go the omlette route. Dave's was full of all sorts of veggies, and Mike's was just ham and cheese.
Dave's:
Mike's:
They were so yummy! Not too big, and the potatoes were delish too. Definitely a great breakfast. We picked up a few of these for the road:
There's that nice, cold water again...mmmm...
After we ate our fill, we headed out to the bus stop to see a MK bus pulling away. Aw darn. Luckily, another one came about 10 minutes later. Unfortunately, it wasn't really a Disney bus. It was some kind of charter bus. I was very confused, and may have thrown a tantrum if they hadn't been playing the old Top 7 movie.
I was so engrossed in the classic Stacey moments that I didn't even notice that we were pulling into the TTC. It let us off there too. Uhh...whaat? A CM then checked all our room keys on the way to the monorail to make sure that we were all resort guests, because MK had early EMH that morning. By the time I had concluded that it had been a mistake and we would just have to take the monorail, it was already 8 o' clock. Dang, I missed rope drop. I was very upset. It was stupid too because aren't the Disney resort buses supposed to drop you off practically on top of the castle? Um YES. Ah well. All negative thoughts left my mind when I saw this:
And not long after that...
I really like the clouds in this picture.
That's it. I'm home. "Livin' it up, a hot sauce feelin'! LA LA. Something, something...let the memories begin!" Love the song, Joni!
I was now in my happy place. And any resentment toward that bus incident earlier was far from my mind.
See? Look how happy we are:
We passed under this, on the right side of the Magic Kingdom. I HAVE to enter on the right side and exit on the left. I have no idea why, I just always do. I feel thrown off if it's the other way around.
Ta-Da! Everyone sing Joni's song!!
As soon as I walked in, I heard the Wells Fargo Wagon song playing, from the Music Man! For those of you who don't know, Jess (Disneyfreak508), Allie (princessallie) our friend Nat and I were all in that musical this past spring. We discovered that they play the music from the show in the Magic Kingdom, and it's all just very exciting for us.
As if that weren't good enough, guess who we saw greeting the early birds over by the Confectionary???
...
Just a spoonful of sugar...
....
Oh, it's a jolly holiday with you Bert...
.....
That's right! It was none other than Mary Poppins herself! I LOVE her. Seriously she is one of my all-time faves! I HAD to go say hello!
She liked my flowery shirt very much, and told me that it reminded her of Bert's drawings. I told her that my brother could draw like Bert, and she said that he was very handsome like Bert too. He totally blushed. Awwwwww.
She said that I had nice dark hair like her, and how lovely it was. Why thank you, Mary! Here we are together:
Did I mention that I love her? Cuz I do. She's so precious!
After being wished a Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious day, (is it sad that I can type that faster than my own name? LOL) I turned the corner and saw...
The castle. Oh Cinderella's beautiful castle. I seriously never get sick of looking at it. I get that same warm, fuzzy, excited and super happy feeling every time I round that corner. It's absolutely stunning.
Of course I then proceeded to shove all the other gawking tourists out of the way so that I could walk LITERALLY RIGHT down the middle of Main Street U.S.A. while singing the song loud and proud. A custodian cast member even joined in with me! He smiled and said to have a wonderful day. I'm in the Magic Kingdom, that's a given!
I got this shot from the end of my song-filled journey down the most magical street in the universe, and I thought it was cool because the flagpole is dead center in the middle of the train station. These kinds of things amuse me, what can I say.
I will see YOU later, Sir Emporium.
As I passed the Emporium, I saw the Trolley. I adore that trolley, and so does my mom. So of course I took a pic!
This is for Jess and Kara:
YUM. The smell coming from in there is like nothing on earth. It is so captivating. I could stand there all day and just breathe.
And now that I've given you your photo tour of Main Street, here are many castle pictures! WOOO!
I think you need about 5 of these per trip, at least.
The beautiful Partners statue:
These are also quite necessary:
We saw some sort of tour going on. Keys to the Kingdom, maybe?
Now here are some castle pics that I am incredibly proud of my little point-and-shoot for, and I hope ya'al enjoy them!
Thanks for putting up with all that.
We then headed to Fantasyland to hit up some classics. We passed by this classic first:
Then this one:
So our classics tour actually ended up including just one. My personal favorite, Peter Pan's Flight! It was about a 10 minute wait, which wasn't bad at all. And after our journey into Neverland, it was time to hit up another land for the most anticipated ride of 2011...at least for me anyway! More on that next time! Only 4 days till the weekend! 'Night!
