although the "T" in TLA means two in this case...;)

Can you please settle a bet for me and my wife? Everywhere on these boards, we see DH, or DS, DD, or DW. Is this for Disney Husband, Son, Daughter, Wife, or is it for Darling Husband, Son, etc? Or both?

Thanks!

Either one is ok.. depends on the way you feel at the moment! ;) My dh is my dear husband etc. BTW Welcome to the Dis!

I thought the D stood for Dear. Darling would work too. I never thought it stood for Disney.

I have always read the D as Disney. Although, now that I think about it, Dear makes a lot more sense.

OK, how about telling me what TLA means? Dear or Darling is how I interpret the D.

First, thanks for all the input.

as for TLA, it usually means "Three Letter Acronym"...but in this case it was "Two letter Acronym"...as in FYI, LOL, etc...

Welcome to the DIS, skwidy, I'm really glad you decided to join our little community.

I usually use dh to mean "dear" husband but it depends on my mood :teeth:

I guess with all the variations out there, we could extend it to a true Three letter acronym and make it DDH, DDS, DDD, and DDW, for Dear Disney HusbandSonDaughterWife :)

And thanks for the warm welcome!

People use those same abbreviations on all kinds of message boards, so most people say that they mean either Dear or Darling. Of course, when you're mad, D stands for a lot of other useful words. ;)
