my family (my husband , myself, daughter and son) will be spending one night at the end of our trip at the Beach Club in a studio room. Would we be able to get a roll away bed even know it sleeps 4?, my kids do not want to sleep together......;) I hear the rooms are small but it would make for less whining :)

It depends... points reservation... no rollaway.... cash reservation... should be able to request a rollaway... now where you would wedge that thing in... :crazy2:

cash resie....wow that small huh...well one night and only to sleep .....I hope:rotfl:

About the only way to make it work would be to NOT pull out the sleeper sofa and just have one of the kids sleep there on the sofa. Then the rollaway would "lay down" (they stand up on end for transport rather than fold in half) in the space between the sofa and the table or desk on the far wall.

Good Luck!

No, DVC resorts do not provide rollaways or cots. You may wind up with you and daughter in one bed, husband and son in the other.

LOL do what my parents did to us when we whinged on vacation.... Suck it up or pay for a second room from your own pocket because this is what you got... if you don't like it you don't need to come on vacation. We usually shut our traps as sharing was better than not going at all. :goodvibes

We must have the same parents! ;)

We requested a roll-away for a studio on a cash ressie last year & were told they could not provide one due to regulations (fire? occupancy?? I dunno.) We were in the same situation, 2 adults, 2 kids, and kids didn't want to share the sleeper sofa. We requested extra bedding from housekeeping & one slept on the floor up against the sliding door. It was VERY tight (of course one one sleeping on the sofa still folded up would have alleviated this so there was more floor room for the other, but they were doing anything posssible to aggravate one another.) One night one slept on the floor by the door to the hallway, this actually was more room than by the sliding door.

I feel your pain!

I don't see where there would be room for a rollaway in a BCV studio and I could see it being against fire code, it could block the way to a quick exit of the room.

You could bring a blowup twin bed. I have a friend who has brought one when we were in a 1 bedroom, when deflated it could be carryon size.

We have 3 kids and while technically many DVC 1 bedroom units allow an occupancy of 5, they will only provide bedding for 4. Our youngest kids are 5 and a small sized 10 year old so we've had them sleep on the floor using the sofa cushions and cover that will a sheet and add a blanket. Two kids can then sleep in the unfolded sofa bed. Or if we drive, we bring a folding camping cot.

Many of the DVC rooms now have sofas where the cushions are permanently attached, so this will not work under this circumstance.

Yes, this is true. This past trip we were at BWV and I think I remember the cushions being attached. Don't remember if they were at BLT. We didn't have to use the cushions since they have a sleeper chair there.

bring an twin air mattress and the sheets to go with it - there are enough pillows.

there have been reports of giving guests air mattress because lots of guests buy it for the trip and then leave it - but that is more at OKW or SSR than BCV.

or you can order one thru wegoshop when you order your groceries - they can get one and the sheets at Walmart.

all great ideas...and agian it is one night...they can DEAL with it...but it is my sanity I want kept espcially being the last night ;) we will be at the OKW prior to this in a 2 br villa so quarters will be tight but the benefit of using the pool the last day till flight home (which is at 9pm) will make a "lil" less sleep ok :goodvibes thanks again all!
