We are planning a vacation to Disney during the second week of December 2005. We were either going to rent points from a DVC member of join the DVC.

My question is do any of the studio parts of the two bedroom homes at any DVC resort have two queen beds in them? I know that all of the studio at OKW have the two queen beds in the studio part and I believe that I have read somewhere in the forum that some rooms at BCV have two queen beds in them. I didn't know about BWV, VWL or SSR.

We would like to have the studio part of the two bedroom vacation home to have the two queen beds.

If there are two queen beds in the other resorts does anyone know if this is something you can reserve or is this somthing you can only request.

Thanks
Steve

BCV and VWL have what they call dedicated 2-bedrooms with 2 queens. You have to request them and I believe that they are not guaranteed. I don't think that BWV has them and I'm not sure about SSR.

Both VWL, BCV and SSR have what is called dedicated 2 bedrooms. Those room categories (which can be guaranteed) have two queens in the 2nd bedroom, but do not have the separate entrance in them. There is only one entrance to the villa, into the livingroom, whereas when you get a 2 bedroom lockoff, there are two exit doors. One in the livingroom (for the one bedroom portion) and one in the studio section. The plusses to having the two separate doors is if you have adult guests in the studio, they don't have to bother anyone who could be sleeping on the livingroom pullout.

All studios at OKW have 2 queen beds.

Also, just a little more clarification (I didn't realize this some years back when we were new to DVC), the 2nd bedroom in a DEDICATED 2 bdrm is just that - a bedroom. It most often at most of the resorts (except maybe BWV's) will have the 2 queen beds but it isn't actually a studio. So it will not only not have the 2nd enterance, it won't have the kitchette (fridge, wet bar, microwave, etc.) -- it just has the beds and another bathroom with another closet and not sure about the other DVC's but at OKW it has another sink/vanity area outside the bathroom where the kitchenette would be in a studio. I only mention the specifics because I know the first time we booked at 2bdrm, we just assumed it was a 1bdrm connected to a studio. We didn't realize that there were Dedicated and lock-off's or the differences. Fortunately for us, it didn't matter which we got but it's always nice to know all you can.
