Very cool!:thumbsup2 Thanks for the pics!:goodvibes

I watched the launch on my tv. Would love to see one in person some day. Just missed this one by a week.:upsidedow

You're welcome. From that distance from the launch site, you don't get the rumble until 5 minutes later. It came unexpected for some on the beach and that was when the applause really broke out. :yay:

Great pics. :thumbsup2

A couple of years ago we were staying at AKL (pre villas) and happened to catch a night launch from our balcony. The sky lit up like it was daytime. It was an amazing experience. Unfortunately, I was charging my camera so I have no pictures.

We were at Sea World last year in October during a launch. It was pretty cool, the park announced when the launch would be and the best location to see it. A couple minutes before hand they piped in the sound from mission control so you could hear the countdown, it was quite a cool experience.

I have been wishing for years to have my VB stay coincide with a launch. At least I have gotten to see would look like. Thanks :)

We left HHI on Friday and stopped for a night in St. Augustine. We checked out the St Augustine sites for a while and then drove to Titusville to watch the launch. We arrived at Spaceview Park (closest non-NASA location to view the launch) and watched it live. It was awesome.

Buzz Lightyear was on the flight as part of a big educational partnership between NASA and Disney.

So at Spaceview park, CM's had an area sectioned off and Woody made an appearance. He stood out front and looked through a huge set of binoculars and waved as the shuttle launched. Our kids were SO excited to see Woody and to hear about the exciting adventures of Buzz!

Very cool pics, we also seen the launch two years ago from the bridge as we were overlooking the china pavillion.
