We got back from WDW 10/20 and found that Song had broken our gate checked stroller. There is a large hole in the material in the back and it is knocked out of shape (so it will only stay in the reclined position). Song would only give me a fax number to send the info to, which I did last week. I have gotten no emails or phone calls in response from them. I'm not sure what to expect, but I am not willing to travel back to the airport to show them what the damage is. I would be willing to have them come to my home to look at it. What is the normal procedure? I bought the stroller right before the trip for WDW. It was under 50., but I threw out the receipt.

Try emailing them. http://www.flysong.com/song_and_you/contact_us/index.jsp

All this information is on their site.

I had a problem with Delta ripping a brand new duffle bag and few years ago. The line at the baggage area was too long to wait in. I wrote them a letter , they told me where to go for a repair. 2 weeks later a brand new bag. Give them a few days and follow up.

We returned from our trip on 10/20. I showed the damage to the guy who loaded the strollers at the gate, but he just looked at me funny and did not respond.

Frann,
I think you had better call and you might need to go to the airport. Just call Deltas 1 800 number and ask for the correct number. The airline normally does not come to you for htis type of thing. Technically damage must be reported within 24 hours so .... The airlines have that rule to prevent me from going home and breaking something next week and blaming it on them. (I realize that is not what you did, but....)

For anyone else, my advice is if your luggage is damaged do not leave the airport with having the baggage service area attendant give you something about what to do and an acknowlegement of the damage. Otherwise it becomes your word agains them. The guy at the gate loading and unloading the luggage are probably the baggage handlers and really can't do anything about it (and are probably the one's who damaged it in the first place!)
