Strawberries!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love them. I went strawberry picking today. I only picked the container they gave me. Really, it's not much.

I just put up 10 half pint jars of strawberry jam and I still have 2/3 of the strawberries I picked left!

I gave a quart of them to a friend. Still alot left.

Strawberry daquiris anyone?

Love strawberries....they are one of my weaknesses. Unfortunatly strawberry season is long gone here in Florida.

ooo floridaminnie it is just now started, a little late because we had so much rain. I need ideas on what to do with all these strawberries I picked LOL. I already have 4 quart bags in the freezer from some that I bought at a stand a few weeks ago.

I also got some blueberries on sale and I just found a recipe for blueberry basil vinegar in my Ball canning book. I must try that!

Not strawberries, but I just put up 10 1/2 pint jars of rasberry/jalpeno jelly and have a batch of mango jalapeno jelly (probably 6 or 7 1/2 pint jars) simmering right now.

We have pepper overload at our huse!

When I was pregnant (many, many moons ago) I CRAVED strawberries every day. There used to be this buffet place in the mall called Morrison's and you could get a bowl of strawberries for 79 cents. Every day I went there for my 79 cents of strawberries

Oh I wish I could go strawberry picking or fruit picking of any kind. We don't have them here.
My uncle used to have a strawberry garden and I picked some when I was really young, but don't remember it-I was five at the time.

Strawberry pies and muffins...these can be frozen...strawberry tarts are good too!!! Looks like I know what I'm going to be busy doing next week!!!

Not strawberry season here unfortunately. I guess I will ahve to be happy with my honeydew and water melons. So darn hot here even the dog doesn't want to go out.
