I just took the plunge and made ressies for June 15-19. Short trip. We ususally don't go during the summer because of crowds and heat and that our fla res passes are blacked out but this year we are upgrading to APs and we ordered the AP from Universal. Just a wild and crazy year for us. Wish us luck. Any advice for the crowds and heat etc...Our first time at Universal. Am I crazy to do this when we already have had 3 3-day trip s this year already and another probably in July? We got All stars Music this time as some friends are going to be in Movies (could not get at discount rates) would rather have POP (stayed there in Marcha nd Loved it!) But it is only going to be me and dd5 and I am unsure to stay too far away from people I know. What do you think. Stay at POP or near the familiar?
Thanks!

This will be our third year in a row going at about that time (2nd/3rd week in June) and we love it....the crowds are manegable with a little planning (going early, fastpass, etc.) and the heat isn't too bad...we always go back for a nap and swim and return as the sun is going down to enjoy the parks in all their nightime splendour. Our kids are still young (6, 4, 2) so we really take it slow and enjoy the vacation, for the 6 days we are in Disney we might do the parks 2. The rest of the days are occupied with swimming at SAB, exploring Downtown Disney, character breakfasts, shopping, strolling the Boardwalk and ice cream. :D
As for wheather to stay where you feel comfortable or near friends, I guess I would look at how much time you intend to spend with them....if kids are going to swim together, or catch a quick bite to eat these things are much easier when you are in close proximity. Have a great time.

I'd love to see another Dis'er at AS that week in June. If you pick the All Star Keep an eye out for us. Me, DW, DS7, DD4. I'll be the one with eyes wide open staring in awe at everything. I'll have green on somewhere. If you think you see us, give a hollar.

See ya real soon.
