Strange things your neighbors do..

I'm thinking now that the fact that our neighbors just mind their own business and are never outside...is pretty nice!

There are some really wild stories out there.

All I can say is D$$$$!
The only weird neighbor I have is Firecracker boy, but he cut that out very soon. But he now works for a tree trimming service which is hilarious because I can't imagine him working. His parents come over (oh he is grown) and take the trash cans out to the curb, cut his grass blow leaves, have a house cleaning service come over every 2 weeks and walk his dog even when he is home. Anyway, one day he drove home this big tree trimming truck, you know the ones with the open in the rear so they can put the limb shavings in the back along with the limb slicer in tow. We live in a cul de sac, not much room. He takes this truck goes to the end and I swear it took him 15 minutes to turn it around just so he can park it in front of his house.

Oh and my neighbor and friend 2 houses down her husband doesn't want to sit in the front part of the house because he is afraid of people coming by to shoot into the house. WTH? We live in a nice street and majority of people are older and don't have any gang bang kids. And their Dd wanted to have a camp out in their fenced in back yard, but he told her no because he doesnt want someone to come in the yard and slit their throats. Oh and he did take an old oil tank and make it into a pig cooker that hasn't been touched in 10 years and he has a old truck in the yard that he had 20 years ago that he drives 1 a year to get inspected because he always wants a back up, but there things live in the back of it.

Our neighbours have a few large trees on their property of which they decided culling some out would improve their view. The only view they now get is of our house and our other neighbours :confused3

See here :confused3:confused3

One of my neighbors puts on gloves, hauls every last thing out of his garage. Put is all on the lawn. Throws away about 2 things then puts it all back in there. Usually cussing the whole time. This has gone on every 6 months since about 99 and they still cant get 1 car in their 3 car garage. When he does it we usually go out and watch because it is so funny.

We have one of these too!!!:rotfl2: It is scary to watch the garage door go up. It looks like things are stacked right up to the door. I am waiting for everything to just come tumbling out.

I still laugh about the guy who put the mustang in the house. He would be sleeping in that car every night til he moved it back outside.

We have great neighbors where we live now! The only weird thing that happened was last Fall -- the people across the street took a leaf blower and blew every leaf from their property onto the two parking spaces in front of our house. :confused3 We were pretty ticked off, but then on Monday, the leaves just disappeared. I have no idea what happened with them. I was home, sick and in bed that day with my bedroom windows right above the leaf mess, but I never heard a thing.

We had an exhibitionist at our last house. The male neighbor would get nekkid and dance in the window facing our house every time he knew I was out and about. My DH didn't believe it was really happening for months! Then one night we were driving separately from somewhere and I got home first, parked, then the dancing started. DH came pulling around the corner and got an eyeful. He believed me after that.

We have been in our house for 7.5 years now. We went to a wedding on Nantucket for a long weekend, got back and the neighbors had moved. They never told us they were moving or that the house was for sale. Just gone and new neighbors when we came back. We went to a wedding last year overnight and those new neighbors were gone and a third set was there. We knew they were selling, but they just up and went.

Our neighbor across the street plays the bass of his stereo in his truck so loud it shakes our house every night around 10:00 when he comes home from work. He's 53! Of course maybe he can't hear as well thus he turns it up! :rotfl:

We have neighbors who don't let their kids leave the yard. They never go down the street to play with ohter kids. I've never seen anyone pick one of their kids up to go anywhere. The kids say they don't have any real friends at school. There are 6 or 7 kids in the family and they do play with each other, but it is kind of weird that they never go anywhere or do anything with other kids.

The mother almost never leaves the house. Doesn't work, doesn't socialize, doesn't even go out and pull weeds.

The parents also don't have any curtains on their very large bedroom window and don't turn the lights off when they should!

They are a strange, strange family. :cool2:

A few summers ago a neighbor peed on one of my trees.

We were having a BBQ and it was really late. A bunch of the guys were standing by the side of the house and my DH came over and told me one of them peed on the tree. DH told him he could go in the house and use the bathroom but the guy, who was quit intoxicated, said "Nah, this'll do".

Now the code word for my neighbor is "Whizzer".

Oh, and we have neighbors down the street with teenagers that think they are the next great rock band. A few summers ago they had all their windows open and the music was blaring. DH went down and told them to close the windows and turn it down. They kids said "It's hot and we don't have air conditioning". Uh, yes you do. That's what the unit next to our house is for. Well, they kept the windows open and proceeded to put mattresses up against the open window.

Man, I just made my neighborhood sound like redneck haven. Seriously, it's not. We just have some odd birds here!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: What a freak!

I had some weird neighbours at one time but I don't really know what they did...

They had five kids, and were devoted Catholics - the mother and the younger kids went to mass every morning. I had little kids, too, so we started hanging out together - our kids went back and forth between the houses. We mostly just talked about the kids. She told me that her husband worked at the airport, but I don't know what he did.

Then one morning I got up and they were gone! The whole family had moved out overnight.

Day after that, I have two officers from the RCMP and someone from the FBI at my door. (The family was from the US.) They asked me a bunch of questions about the family, in particular if they'd mentioned anything about where they were going. Unfortunately, I didn't know anything.

I asked why the RCMP and FBI were looking for them, but they wouldn't tell me.

It was a bit unnerving. I still have no idea what it was all about.

Our neighbors put gas in their cars - EVERYDAY - with a 5 gallon gas can. The husband drives a newer style Toyota wagon - and he wrenched the gas compartment lid off (all you see is the gas cap). I'm assuming this was because it was on a hinge making it difficult for him to get the gas from the can into the tank. It is so odd to see his wife out there in her dress (she always wears a dress) filling up the tank of her mini-van with a 5 gallon gas can. The husband works at a Tire Service Center - I'm wondering if it's a "perk" of the job??!!

Do the the cars have diesel engines? The owners could be filtering/mixing their own bio-diesel.

You know...if my DH ever did that they would NEVER find the body!
I just can't believe you actually took pictures!:rotfl2:
Kim

Oh it wasn't meeee :rotfl:

Just to clear up any confusion - VirtuallyMe posted about it and someone asked her for pictures - I couldn't help myself, so I looked it up and found 'em first :lmao:

I live in an apartment, and I am surrounded by crazy people.

My neighbor across the hall, downstairs, chooses to ONLY use his cellphone outside, directly under our living room window, or, on cold days, in the hallway.

One of our neighbors just up and disappeared last fall. We still don't know if he's alive or what's going on. We're hoping he's a snowbird and just flew south for the winter.

Thanks for the link :thumbsup2 .

In nice weather, my neighbors sit on lawn chairs in their garage. It's really weird--they have a beautiful back yard with a deck that they never use.
I had neighbors like that too in the condo where I used to live. The garages were tiny little one car things that opened into a small narrow lane with barely enough room for two cars to go by. NOTHING scenic at all.

And they lived ON THE WATER - with a beautiful view and deck from the other side. Absolutely gorgeous vs exhaust filled view of concrete.

:rolleyes1 I feed the birds especially in the Winter. My neighbor does not like our feathered friends and he goes around his house banging pots and pans just to scare them away.:scared1: He also takes a big stick and shakes his tree to get the birds out of it. He does many crazy things and he is an adult with time on his hands as he doesn't work.
