First off, I would like to say that we had a wonderful time at AKL. The room was perfect, the CMS were friendly, the food was spectacular. I did have a strange experience with a Mousekeeper though. What would you have done if this happened to you?
We had the same Mousekeeper for 5 days straight. I know this because we spent a lot of time in the room watching the animals and changing for swim breaks. During these times, I saw her and spoke to her. She was a very friendly lady. On the 5th day, I came to the room alone to grab the refillable mugs since we were going to eat lunch at Mara. She was cleaning the room. No problem there. However, there was a man sitting at our table smiling at me. I said hello. I thought maybe he was a supervisor watching her to see how well she cleaned the rooms.
I was wrong. The Mousekeeper then introduces him to me as her husband. She said they were going to eat after she was finished with the rooms. He told me that he worked for AKL too in another department. They were nice people. However, I thought this was just a bit weird that she had her husband in our hotel room. Nothing was missing or out of sorts. I was debating on telling the manager, but my wife insisted that I should not. She liked the Mousekeeper and didn't want to get her in trouble if she was doing something that was not allowed.
So, did I do the right thing by not saying anything?
