So I'm a little behind with dying eggs.
I hard-boiled 6 eggs this morning, to correspond with the 6 colors of dye that I have. One egg cracks really bad. I dump them all into an ice water bath to cool quickly. While I'm waiting for the eggs to cool, I prepare 5 of the 6 colors -- not wanting to dye the cracked egg -- discarding the orange cup because that's my least favorite of the colors.
I place each of the 5 eggs into the dyes and go to pull out the 6th egg to eat it since it's cracked, but wait -- it's not cracked. So what do I do? I pull out each egg in the cups...none of them are cracked.
Is it an Easter miracle? Or did the ice water fix it?

Let me know if it works and what ratio of ice to water you use!
