Stormy Disney pictures!

Just after a really bad rain storm. :)

I LOVE this picture! The vivid colors are reflected in the rainbow and through out Fantasyland!

May be stormy below but awe inspiring above. We're deviating at FL360(36,000ft) around a "low" FL Thunderstorm.

I have to agree as well, for such "terrible" weather shots they really are amazing!!

:)

That looks really familiar dreamin in pa. We were there that night also. We had dinner at Chef Mickey's as the storm rolled in. But we still went and had a blast that night.

Great pics. I wish, I had thought of taking storm pics. I could have had some really cool ones.

Me too! It poured the night we went to MVMCP in 2002; I was videotaping instead of taking still pics. On a shot I took out one of the doors of the Emporium, there are rivers running down the sides of Main St. and the only person walking through the shot was a poor drenched CM in a poncho.

August 28, 2007....

And this one was taken at Epcot while waiting for Illuminations. You can see the storm - and even the lightning in the storm - building in the background. Thankfully, it never got any closer.

We were there that same day. The lightening was in the clouds & everyone was watching it. It was funny because we were all waiting for Illuminations but nature's foreworks caught everyones attention.
Great picture!

Bumping...want more...this is so very cool!
Although all the pics are very neat, I give the award so far to Metallicat's shot of the castle/rainbow. What a pixiedust moment!

aww, thank you. :) I just wish I had brought a wider lens so I could have gotten more in the picture. actually, there was two rainbows beside each other but only one showed up in the picture. just a few minutes before that, the rain water was ankle deep near Cosmic Rays. :scared:

 Love all these pics too, but the rainbow at that angle is incredible!
The storm photos reminds us any "bad" moment at Disney is still memorable! Please keep them coming!popcorn:: (eager for photos, not controversy!:) )

same rainbow but from a different area. taken about 5 minutes before the castle shot. you can sort of make out the 2nd rainbow to the left near the purple ball on top of the astro orbitor.

Great pics.Keep them coming! pirate:
Just got back from a quick visit to DTD for dinner and should have had the camera. When it rains it pours. Not very busy at all except for of course the World of Disney. Here a few more.
Another FL Thunderstorm from above.

Another one from Tropical Storm Alberto, June 2006. I felt bad for the guy that had to hold on to the balloons in the wind.

Our favorite days at WDW have been in storms. We never let it get us down.

We stayed the whole night too. We were drenched but didn't really care. We got to meet Captain Jack twice with less than 30 minutes combined wait time. We had a great time, rain and all.

I did a double take at the guy with the #43 jersey in the bottom left corner of your first picture. He looks like Troy Polamalu of the Pittsburgh Steelers !
Great pics everyone!

I don't have any storm pics to contribute, but I really like some of what I see on this thread. Thanks for sharing! :thumbsup2
