I'm curious if the initial wait times are handed out randomly or if there is any correlation between when you joined the waiting room and what your initial wait time was. I joined the waiting room 15 minutes ahead of time and got an initial wait time of 21 minutes. Did anyone who joined the waiting room after that get earlier wait times, or anyone who joined the waiting room very early get long wait times?

I joined the waiting room hours in advance, and put in my membership number i think as soon as it was available, and I still got 20 minutes.

It doesn’t matter how they get their tickets. They should be prohibited from filming and making money at the event.

Well I agree but Disney and DVC gains a lot from these bloggers so that will probably never happen. Where they seem to draw the line is when they make money directly on property, like the third-party tour guides and "nannies". They don't care about bloggers making ad revenue or t-shirt deals on youtube.

It's supposed to be entirely random. No matter when you join the waiting room, everyone is assigned a random position in queue when registration opens.

I know they say it is. I am not 100% sure I believe that so getting info will help me decide what I choose to do next time.

Making it random makes more sense to me than someone joining the waiting room hours ahead of time being at the end of the line.

On my phone I clicked the link as soon as I got the email yesterday. I don't recall the que ID. Then I logged on my computer 15 min before. I had 20 est wait time at 11 when it opened

If they get in it's because they got a ticket from someone they know that got in (or they own DVC themselves and registered). DVC doesn't give tickets to media.

I fully understand that and did not mention DVC giving media passes for MM. If they are owners, of course they are entitled to the same perks/benefits. If they are getting in by any other means, that’s just doesn’t feel like the right thing to do imo.

I logged in about 45-60 minutes ahead of time on my laptop (and about 10-15 before on my phone) and I got in within less than a minute.

Yeah I would be pretty pissed if I spent all this money on DVC and didnt get tickets and then DVC lets a non owner blogger in for free.

They used to, but now it seems to be a different url. It should be posted on the MM page before 11 am eastern on 12/19.

I joined on my computer around 10:25 then tried my phone right after it had same que id. Once it loaded I was 9 minutes, then quickly changed to 8 minutes.

Happy to add a data point.
