Stormtroopers, Mickey Bars, and Mission Space, Oh MY!

Wow. I am happy you finally got the Mickey bars, but what a mess.

Great safari pictures. What kind of camera did you use, it might have a great zoom to get the lion that close.

Yep....messy Mickey bars!! It was fun, and worth it. If Andrew's wouldn't have fallen off the stick, he wouldn't have been so bad.

I think the Lion shot was got by Amanda's camera, she has a Nikon Coolpix I believe, we have the big honkin Nikon D40X, and it takes awesome pictures too!!

I had another awesome safari this past saturday, that one, and Amanda's are the best 2 I've ever been on. Key is to get there early!!!

I just read through your trip. It sounds like so much fun! (followed you here from Diane's TR)

I am chuckling a little as I read your early days that Jon didn't want to come back at night and then the night of mix ups where he was a little grumpy about being stuck with the dwarves:lmao::lmao: as I read those I knew - he was staying back in the evening to have a little quiet me time away from the gang. You all messed with his groove:rotfl2:

I just loved all of your pictures - the kids are all so cute. I love love love that you got the "Best Day Ever" feed back from the littlest - I love when Katie tells me she had the best day ever.

Did you have park hoppers or just one park per day passes? It seemed like except for the one day when you stayed at Epcot & Chris went to DHS that you did only one per day.

Hey!! :welcome: Yea, he liked his 'me' time I believe. We just brought the kids, and went with it. Didn't want to leave them out of anything!!

as far as tickets, my family has Annual Passes, for Amanda's group, we got them the 4 day military ph tickets. We did hop a couple times, but that's it. I do try to keep to one park/day, but sometimes, you just gotta hop!! :lmao:

I do enjoy the reactions out of the kids. That's why we go so much!! I just love seeing kids' faces light up. I talk to them too, on the monorail, in line, as much as I can!! It's just awesome!! At that age, they say some of the most off the wall stuff, like the whole 'off the hizzle' comment. I had NO clue where he got that from!! I was laughing quite a bit.

Ok, those who are with me on facebook know this already, for those who aren't with me, why not?? :lmao: Anyways, I got my stepdaughter in town, took them to AK and MK last night, cause we were bored, went on Space Mtn really late, and I tweaked my back really bad. :headache: Went to the dr this morning, and I have 2 different pulled muscles along the spine, one on the upper right, one on the lower left. I'm stuck in my chair for a while  So, guess SM is off my list of things I can do!! Chris said Thunder Mtn is as well. So, I'm on Steroids, muscle relaxers, and of course my pain pills, I got 2 shots, one steroid, and one pain killer, so I'm quite a bit doped up. Anyways, I'll probably finish updating tomorrow, since I won't have anything else to do!! Thank God for Wifi in the house!!!! Anyways, ya'll have a good night, and I'll update tomorrow!!! I can't wait for ya'll to see the beach pictures!!!! popcorn::

OH I am so sorry---you really did a number! Does MS make it "easier" to injure muscles like that? I'm not that familiar with how it effects the body, just know that its muscle related.

Take your time to heal so you can really enjoy yourself later!

Thanks!!! I have been taking it easy, it's acutally Muscular Dystrophy that I have, it makes it easier to pull and pop muscles all over. It probably makes my healing time a little longer than normal too. My son has been a HUGE help, and we wouldn't have gotten back home that night without him. He looked for cars while changing lanes, since I couldn't turn. Hubby came home, he's stationed in Miami, while Tyler and I are in Cocoa. We bought a house here 4 years ago, he only has little over 4 years to go before retirement. So, we figured we'd take the plunge!! I didn't expect my body to take the plunge also....this young, but we're dealing with things as they pop up. That's all we can do! I am going crazy sitting on this chair. I have a black cat, he's right here on the chair with me, and we have a black lab, she sits under the reclined part. Animals know!! They're awesome animals tho. The black lab helped me off the floor one time when I got stuck. And she's not even a trained service dog!! When I fold clothes, she peeks into my room to see if I'm alright. It's awesome to have a good support system. They keep my spirits up. Anyways, gonna work on the next installment!!!

So, we get back to the main park part, so we go around the back side of the tree, and everyone was ready for a break, so we said let's get lunch. On the back side of the tree, we saw Flik!! Now....this is where I lose it, cause Sara goes and wants to be held by the character handler!!! Now, I held her maybe twice this whole trip, she just didn't want nothing to do with me, unless she was in her stroller.

Chriscamera162.jpg

So, we take pics with Flik. Tyler didn't want pictures, and Chris didn't either, so I got Amanda's family, and Matt went up there with me!!

We rode Everest on our way around the park, and had lunch at Restaurantosaurus. The kids got the kids meal with the bucket, that they used at the beach!! Amanda and Matt LOVED Everest, and Andrew didn't want to ride, so I was sitting with Matt.

We took our time eating, and then wanted to go see the Lion King show. We got the times guide, and saw that the next show was coming up soon. So we head out that way. We got in line, and Andrew was parked in his favorite spot, being a ham for the camera!!

Chriscamera165.jpg

We get in the theater, and got a good pic of Amanda and I.

Chriscamera167.jpg

We watch the show, and everyone loved it. Sara was dancing on Jon's lap!!

After that, they decided that they were tired. It was about 4pm, and it had been a long week. We still had one round of meal credits, and I don't know HOW many snack credits, so we decided to go to Earl of Sandwich and use the last credits, and take the food home to eat while we watch movies. We got the sandwiches, and they guys went home, and Amanda and I went to Goofy's candy company in DTD. We had 28 snack credits left!! :woohoo: So we shopped. Got some stuff for our kids, and Amanda got stuff that her mom would like. That bill would have been like $101 if we didn't have the snack credits. So....all that was used up, and we headed home. Andrew and Sara both fell asleep on the way home. The guys had their car unloaded, and then started on mine. We ate our subs, and watched Tron, and just relaxed!!! Pondered over the vacation, uploaded pics, that sort of stuff. Amanda had never seen either of the Tron movies, so we figured that was the best way to unwind from an awesome week!!! :woohoo:

:hug:Sorry to hear about your back. Space Mountain is pretty rough.

It must have been fun to spend 28 snack credits all at once.

OMG girl it was awesome to spend that many snack credits!!! We had stuff coming out of our ears, and the bag weighed a TON!!!

My back is better, it's been a week, still tight, I guess the shots worked for the pain, I go back to the dr friday, so hopefully she'll say I can go back to DW soon!!! I'm starting to have withdrawals!!! These teenagers are having a hard time being in the house too, we've gotten a bunch of rain lately, so outside stuff is non existent right now.

So with Amanda's group being from the middle of the country, we knew a beach day was in order. I made sure when we went shopping to get the uncrustables for the beach, and a few toys. We are really close to Cocoa Beach, but there's an Air Force base a little farther down, and has a military beach that isn't very crowded, so we headed there. I had NO clue that Matt had never seen the ocean!!! I guess I'm spoiled, since I grew up on the beach! Chris brought his frisbee.....and I made sure I had the camera!! Sara wasn't too sure of the waves, and kept hold of Jon almost the whole time. I think I got ONE picture of her standing alone!! She did like the sand, and Andrew and I built and then knocked down a sand castle! It was a fun day for all of us!!!!

The beach looks like a great way to end a vacation.

I have never been to a beach in FL. I have been to beaches down the eastern coast down to about NC, can't be that different can they?

How is your back doing? Are you feeling better?

The beaches here are nice. If you guys want to do a beach day, I'll tell you a better beach to go to.....the one I grew up on. That one is better than Cocoa Beach, in my opinion, and I've been to beaches around the world!!

Back is doing better, we went to DHS friday for about 3 or 4 hours, then the rain came. I was upset, but I can't control the weather!! I got more pain pills, and she checked on a knot the size of a golf ball, and tried to massage it out, but it was too painful for me. She's having Chris try to work it out. Still stiff, but not hurting too much. We took the kids to fish today, I can't do that anymore, but I had fun watching, and reading my book.

I do believe that I gotta start planning a trip for my Step daughter for her birthday in October. She wants to go, and have her mom and possibly her grandma come. We've done that before with them, and it works out pretty good. We'll probably stay at FW in the cabins. Plus next year for her sweet 16, she wants a Disney Cruise!! That'll be awesome!!! I think anyways!! LOL Take it easy, and have a fun and safe holiday weekend!!

Oh NO! how not fair of Sara to pick a cast member of her awesome auntie!!! (but typical of kids!:rotfl:)

I am imagining filling the basket at Goofy's candy store to use up 28 snack credit. My DD would be SO jealous!!:rotfl:

Your photo with Amanda really shows you are related. :cutie:

Kicking back with subs and a movie sounds like a great way to end the day. I'm not sure what it is about AK - we are always beat after being at that park, even though it closes early. We always think we will have energy to do another park and we never do.

Is the new TRON good? we have not seen it yet.

I am going to make it to a FL beach one of these days. Just want to see the clear blue. We typically only get to the Jersey shore and its not clear anything..

My friend goes to a military beach in NJ (her DH is army) and loves the emptiness of it, though she says its not good for kids, too choppy.

Hope that knot gets out of your back & you are moving around more soon. This certainly shows you how awesome your kids are, doesn't it?

Hey Moira!! Sorry I haven't replied earlier, been busy this past week with the teenagers!! My stepdaughter went home yesterday.

Lets see, the new Tron is AWESOME. If you liked the original, then you'll LOVE the new one. I hadn't seen either of them before they came out on blu ray, but now that I've seen them, I'm hooked.

The beaches here are nice, but the water isn't crystal clear. It's nice and blue, but not clear here. The farther south you go in florida, the clearer it gets. We lived in the Keys for 4years, and the water there is just georgous!!!!

My back is doing better, lots of pool time, and rest, that knot finally got worked out! Thank goodness!! That was a killer knot! I still feel stiff every once in a while, and feel it when I turn around or such, but for the most part, I'm back to my normal LOL My dearest son has been awesome, and I hope he never changes!! Glad I'm raising a good kid, that takes care of his momma, even tho he's only 13!!

The funny thing is, Amanda and I are related by marriage!! She's got that Irvine face like her uncle and her brother, but she was looking for the stroller in the pic with the guys from earlier. With Sara having blonde hair and blue eyes, I could pass her as my own child!! I thought that was funny with her. Actually, some lady in the arcade at space mtn, thought she WAS my daughter when I was chasing her!! She saw me later with Andrew, and told me some other lady was pushing my baby around, and I told her yea, it's her mom!! LOL THe CM was all embarrassed, but ah well. It's all fun! We're gonna go to Tennessee for Thanksgiving this year and see DH's brother, and Amanda and them, so I'm excited. Not excited for the 14 hour car ride that's gonna kill my body, but seeing them will be worth it. I miss them kids something bad, and with us having passes to Disney, every time we go, we smile, and do the whole remember thing. I can't wait until we can take them again. I'm just afraid that Andrew will be too big for my lap next time!!!!
