Stormalong bay whirlpool? Pool Activities?

Hello! I'm still researching for our Oct stay. Can you tell me about the different sections of Stormalong Bay? What is the whirlpool section exactly? Does the water spin there?

I saw there is a bubblin section? So, are there bubble jets underwater there?

I have heard all about the lazy river that isn't so lazy. I hear it is deep.

I know the bottom has sand and there are sinking sands areas. I know there is a pirate slide.

I see there is a great cand castle building area near the Yacht Club.

Are there lots of pool activities throughout the day? I've heard the lifeguards dance? I've heard there is a pool party.

What can you tell me about pool activities and stormalong bay pool sections, particularly the whirlpool and bubblin section.

There are three hot tubs that come to mind immediately.

The deeper sections of the pool include the sand bottom areas, lazy river, which has a current sort of pushes guests along in that area - it's good to use with the inner tubes they rent but we don't really swim in that part. The big slide also ends in that area - it's about 4 feet deep at the end of the slide.

The kiddie areas of the pool include a zero depth entry area that is relatively shallow throughout and entire disconnected from the other areas of the pool. There is a ton of sand for digging and playing in that section of the pool - that's where kids can build sand castles.

SAB also includes a small circular wading pool for tiny kids and a kiddie slide/pool at the base of the pirate ship. Both of these areas are disconnected from the deeper sections of the pool also.

We stayed at the YC last Aug and I also stayed at the BC years ago..and LOVED stormalong bay!! One of the best things was the sand bottom areas of the pool, especially the sinking sands area. The whirlpool was sooo fun!!! My DS and I loved it, we were just going with the whirlpool and laughing..it was a great time! I cannot rave more about stormalong bay, it is wonderful..the lazy river ride is in deep waters but it is still very relaxing, we did not rent a tube, but later on in the evening there were quite a few of them floating around. I can't wait to go there again!!!
