Stormalong Bay closing time? 8pm??? Can't be true??

Saw this on a few threads but think I must be hallucinating. Why would it close that early? We were at Pop in October and I'm sure it was open until around midnight as we swam almost every night when we got home from the parks. Can't remember with the other two hotels... Please tell me it isn't so at Christmas time!

It could be true..It depends on the crowds and the weather, but StormAlongBay is a very "dark" pool and hard to watch at night. We went last year after Thanksgiving and swam around 7 ish, but not late at night. That may be the "official" time that the lifeguards leave, but sometimes they rope it off. There are quiet pools that my son swam in at night, but we didn't miss it at night.

When we were there in May it closed at 8. It is very large and needs a lot of lifeguards. That's why I assumed it closed early. The quite pool is open till 12 I think.

It was 10am to 10pm last week.

SAB closing times vary throughout the year. It closes at late as 10:00 PM or as early as 6:00PM (during the slowest part of winter).

when we were there in January it closed at 8.00pm. We asked a lifeguard about the early closing time, and the answer was because SAB is dark and the lifeguards have trouble seeing people in the water. It's also a large area, so need more guards than the other main pools.

The quiet pools were still open, but they are not guarded to start with.
