I must admit that I have been a bit obsessed with watching the weather. We rescheduled our September trip due to Frances and are now scheduled to go Oct. 2-7. For those out there in the same boat as us, I wanted to also say that the www.wunderground.com site is very good. I recommend reading the discussion link for each storm as it will tell you how certain the forecasters are about the long term forecast, something you don't hear many places. For instances, in the current discussion about Jeanne, the forecaster pointed out that not many hurricanes survive over Hispanola. Hopefully, this will help people make informed decisions about trips.

Also, when making our decision about Frances, I found the web broadcast from www.wftv.com very good. Also, posts from cast members and locals, I feel, are invaluable. Now, I just need to try and relax and get excited abou the trip! Hope this helps.

My tv is permanently stationed on The Weather Channel. I figured after Ivan I would not have anything to worry about...4 hurricanes in FL? NO WAY. Well, it's not nice to fool with Mother Nature! Who knows what the future holds. I am hoping my trip the 26th - 1st is ok & this new Karl storm will go northward like the tracking shows.
