I really don't see the advantage.
Chalk is cheaper. It's easier to clean. It's easy to split. It doesn't dry up. It comes in a variety of colors. The chalkboards are already in place, so there's no installation.
I think the whole whiteboard trend is money that could be much better spent elsewhere!!
