Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

Lisa, this is my first official post here on Dis. I am a big Disney World fanatic but have only managed to go twice. Dixie landings in '98 and All-Star Music in '07. I have been reading the Dis Forums for about 4 years now but just never have signed up to start posting. I was already beginning to get the itch to plan our 3rd trip when I ran across your TR. Wow, there is my first acronym. Well, although we can't make it this year due to other adventures already on the agenda, I am already starting to plan a return trip for next year. I wish i could do a trip report like you but I could never be able to do that mainly because I just am not that good with words. I have finally finished yours and am now all caught up waiting for the next post. You have given me several laughs along the way and eased the tension of a normally stressful job so many times. I thank you for that. Your pictures are great also.

Let me introduce my crew to you. first there is me,Pat(40), my wife Tammy(40)who lets me do all the planning for any and all trips we ever take, our oldest son Ryan(16), and our youngest son Bryce (9).

Morning all, before I get started with our final day at the Magic Kingdom, I thought I'd post a couple of pictures. First is the Photopass picture that was taken at the end of our Epcot day. You can tell that we were all tired (I can especially tell with me. When I get really tired, the Bell's Palsy makes my eye droop even more.) and the humidity had gotten to our clothes and hair.

And, then the one of Test Track. We really really wanted to "pose" in this one but somehow we missed the mark and didn't get the "pose" in.

**Up next, the Magic Kingdom!

Hey Pat! I'm honored that my trip report was where you made your first post. I didn't think I could do a trip report either but then the words just started flowing and I can't seem to stop myself. I guess that's because I am a detail kinda gal.

I'm glad that I was able to give you a laugh or two or three. It's nice to have that sometimes when you are in a stressful job situation.

So, you say you're not going to Disney this year but what about next year? Do you have an idea of where you might stay?

hehe i just notice u and lacey r wearing the same shorts, cute:), hehee, all of ur pics r always wonderful, even the photopass/ride pics=]

Those are great photopass pics! You guys look so relaxed on Test Track!

Lisa, I would like to stay at either CBR or go back to POR. Although we have been trying for years to get my parents to go with us and we may finally be getting close them biting off on the idea. So if they would decide to go we may have to go with one of the value resorts again as the price seems to be the biggest opstacle for them. I told myself after the last stay at ASMu I would never do value again at Disney. But if it means them going or not going I could make the sacrafice.

I just remembered Lisa. We went the same week you went to Disney. Except our last day was Epcot LOL. But great Photopass Pictures.

Hi! Pat
we stayed in ASp last year and said the same thing. But, we need three rooms so we are doing value again. We are trying the POP this year! after a little research I found out it has a few quiet sections and it also has its own bus service shared with no other resort. That right there won me over! Good luck! with your decision...
Happy Planning!

Hey! Lisa
great update! I think the photopass pics came out cute! and you get to try again this year!

I think TT closes after the fireworks to keep the people that are suppose to leave from entering...it was closed like that when we went last year, too. and I had heard a few people complaining that the other parks did not do that for the EMH :confused3

Ok - I was gone for a while, but am all caught up now! (Now I have to head over to your PTR...) Great Epcot day! Disney is one of those vacations where you're pretty dog tired every evening...but it's a good tired!

I just found a video of CBR that the DIS Unplugged podcast posted on YouTube. It's great - I can't wait to get there!

Whew! I just sat down and read your whole TR today :surfweb: Took me several hours, but it was well worth it. Your family sounds like our family (well, my mom's side anyway). I was telling her about the surrey bike extravaganza and she was cracking up. Caribbean Beach looks so pretty. It's looking more appealing to me. I like the Nemo rooms, I think they're fun. Mom doesn't like the brightness. She says she wants "calming colors to come back to at the end of the day." :confused3 I've always heard bus service wasn't so great there, but your experiences state differently. I've also heard it's gigantic, but you've convinced me otherwise. Your trip seems like it was a lot of fun if a little (lot) hot!

I love seeing the pictures you take, although some of them weren't there. I was getting the "bandwidth exceeded" message. Have you ever considered using Picasa by Google? It lets you edit your pictures right in the program and then you can upload them to your own Picassa album. In my opinion, it's much better than Photobucket. It lets you use 1024 MB. I have no idea if that's big or not.

Lacey seems really cool. I think if we knew each other we would be friends. Although I'm on the shy side at first, once I warm up I'm really outgoing.

You ate at a lot of the places we plan to, so it's always good to find reviews of those places so we know what we're getting ourselves into.

Your Test Track photo was entertaining-it looks like Lacey was the only one who did what she was supposed to!

I'm off to go read your PTR now. Looking forward to more updates here!

We tried the new family suite rooms that had just been opened at ASMu because my mother-in-law went with us and we felt like it would be more convenient than getting seperate rooms. that part was fine and I really had no problem with the room at all. It was the rest if the resort I didn't care for. The service from all the CM's stunk compared to our visit to Dixie Landings. I didn't like sharing the bus with 2 other resorts. Sometimes by the time the bus got to us it was standing room only and they didn't run as often either. The food court didn't offer very much at all and I missed having a real restraunt on site. It seemed like it took forever to get to anywhere. In a nutshell I have decided you get what you pay for.

Good morning all,

As some of you know, I've been missing in action the last couple of days. Lacey has been having some health issues. She passed out a couple of times a couple of days ago and 911 had to be called. She has been diagnosed with sinus arrythmia which, thank God, is not life threatening. But, they we still don't have the results from her blood work. I am praying that it is something like anemia or mono. I know that sounds crazy to say but at least we know that those two things are curable. Hopefully, the blood tests will come back today but I'm not going to hold my breath. It's a Friday and I know a lot of places close early on Friday.

While I remain on pins and needles waiting to hear something from the doctor, I'll leave ya'll with some Epcot pictures that I found on photobucket.

I did it, all caught up!
I am exactly like you when it comes to my food touching! No way. I have to have a sperate plate for each thing unless it does not have a sause. Lie a piece of fish and mashed potatos can share a plate but never say meat and a salad.
Cute matchy matchy shorts. The paunch pics were cracking me up. We have to try Donald' boat ride and the Piggy bank adventure in May!
Still thinking about Lacey.

Morning to all my Dis friends!

I just have a minute but wanted to let you guys know that the rest of Lacey's test results have come back fine. No H1N1, anemia, mono, low blood sugar or anything else they tested for.

She probably had some kind of virus along with being super tired and not eating well after a week doing their conferences and volunteer work. She comes in contact with so many people going to college, working in the homeless shelter, helping with children's church, etc. so that's probably where she caught the virus.

She has an appointment to see a cardiologist to read the test results of the EKG just to confirm that the sinus arrythmia is not life threatening. If the cardiologist doesn't see the need for more tests, the cost of the appointment will be around $300.00 which isn't too bad. Several couples at the church have volunteered to pay the cardiologist bill. At first, I told her absolutely not. We are not broke and can afford to pay it ourselves. However, Lacey said that she had volunteered to help some of these people move, babysat, took them food when they were sick, etc. and they said this was just a repayment. I'm still not sure how I feel about it though.

The people at Lacey's church have given her a new nickname.....Flutter...in honor of her fluttering little heart.

I thank you all so very much for your prayers. I ask that you please continue to pray for her until she sees the cardiologist.

Try Pop. It is being refurbed right now as we speak. Also I read in one of my many guide books recently that it is one of the friendliest resorts at WDW. Of course there are bad days or weeks, but I have found them very good on the 3 stays we've done there.
I am not to picky though, but everything has been really nice for us each trip there.

Flutter, that's cute. I hope they find a strong healthy heart and that she just over did it a bit ... epsecially if she was not drinking enough water.

As for the families paying her bill, I would let them. After all she has done for them, it will probably make them feel good about themselves to be able to do something for her in return ... paying it forward. I know it is hard to let someone do something that big for you, but I have found that you sometimes should. If it was in the thousands, that would be different, but just $300 is OK.
