All the buildings being lit up around the WS is my favorite part of Illuminations! Great pictures, Lisa! :thumbsup2

I can't wait to get back to Epcot and ride TT. Dallas has started liking it now too :thumbsup2. I can get him on MS on the green side which is the only one I will ride too. The orange version scared the bejeebers out of me :lmao:.

Alright, I am up to page 175. Huge kudos to you for posting TL pics. You guys are a riot!!

I am loving the TR so far! I am on page 121. I am itching to get back and I have been writing down some of the things you guys did that we didn't. I want to do them the next time..like eating at T-Rex and the Spirit of Aloha.
We took the kids a few years ago and my MIL and FIL invited themselves..They RUINED the trip. This time I want to go just the 4 of us(me, DH,DS and DD) and I would LOVE to go after Thanksgiving to see the Christmas lights..back to reading..can't wait to see more of your Pics :)

I feel your pain! It wasn't the in-laws that ruined one of my trips, it was my bro, his girlfriend, her sister and their combined SEVEN totally out of control, spoiled rotten, over-the-top, ungrateful kids. Everything from cussing like truckers (no offense to the truckers out there) to complaining about EVERYTHING to not getting their butts out of bed before 11 a.m. to taking three hours to eat lunch every day ... at the counter service places. PLUS, when they finally did make it to the parks, all they wanted to do is eat and the girlfriend's sister was the slowest person I have ever met in my life. On that trip, we were lucky to have seen even one-quarter of each park. I heard the same thing every morning when I tried to get them up and moving: "It's my vacation too! I want to sleep in! Why do we have to get up so early every day?" :confused3 Four words - Because it's Disney World! Never again!

OK, I feel better now. :yay::yay::yay:

I am all caught up! Love the pic of John in his Poncho. I got a chuckle....Ya for you going on ToT..I wouldn't go near it. My DD went on it twice(she was 4 at the time). She loved it. After the 1st time she got off and talked my DS to go on it with her and DH again.(he was 6) She wanted to go on the rock n roll roller coaster but she was not tall enough :(
Hopefully she will be the next time we go.

Yikes..that is bad.
I could write a book on our trip..it really was not fun..even up until we got home stunk.(flight issues). because the mil and fil had to come, we had to do things on a budget. so instead of taking a direct flight from MA to FLA, we had to do stop overs..it was horrible. instead of getting into Logan at 9pm, we didn't get in until 2am because of "paperwork" issues on the 1st flight out of Orlando. they had us all get off the plane and look for another flight, as soon as we get up to get another flight, they tell us all to get back on and if we don't then we will be considered missing our flight. our connecting flight had already left but on we go to Miami(not sure why it was Miami). we get there and the only flight they would get us on was at 9pm and only 5 of the 9 of us could get seats..so Me, DH, DD4 and DS6 all had to wait for standby..they had 4 1st class tickets avalable but wouldn't let us have them. we were told that those were only for people who wanted to upgrade..I almost ripped the guys throat out..so as everyone boarded the plane including the 5 other family members, my kids were crying and screaming that they didn't want to be left at the airport. I felt so bad. they finally get us on and not 1 of us were near each other. My 4 and 6 year old were ALONE in a seat. The lady next to DH saw what had happened and switched with DD, then another woman switched with DS. to at least my kids were sitting with DH. That was so nice of them I wanted to cry. Then the guy sitting across from them came up to me and switched with me. I will NEVER fly American Airlines again. it was their fault we missed the flight and we didn't even get an I'm sorry..the best they gave was if they didn't get us on that flight they would get us a hotel room and get us on a 6am flight to NY and then a connecting one to Boston..I was lucky I didn't get arrested that night. My kids were a mess. We tried talking up how awesome it would be to stay in another hotel but the kids were not having it.

Good googa mooga! :scared1: I am so sorry your trip started that way. I pray your next trip goes as magically as a Disney trip should be. :wizard: And don't tell anyone you are going this time.:banana: Just sneak off so no one can invite themselves again.

:scared1: That is AWFUL!!!! The ONE time I flew American Airlines, someone had obviously thrown up on the floor right at my seat (on the flight before mine) & they just threw coffee grounds over it to cover the smell...and it DID NOT cover the smell!!! Not their fault, but now every time I think of them I get a little nauseuos! :rotfl:

Great update, Lisa! I love the videos.

Thanks!

I love Test Track! When we went back in 07, we told Koby who was 6 at the time that it went 65 mph. He freaked! Now he rode Rock N Roller Coaster with no problems, did TOT & loved it! For some reason he cried & cried while we was in line. After the ride was over? "That was awesome mommy". I could have strangled him!

Hunter will ride Rock 'n Roller Coaster, Expedition Everest and Space Mountain but can't stand Splash Mountain. Isn't it weird how they pick and choose what they like and don't like.:confused3

I can do the fireworks at MK (my fave) and, if we sit way in the back, I can do Fantasmic. I just think the explosions are too close to shore at Illuminations.

Yeah, the lights of Illuminations do get pretty bright.

Yep! :thumbsup2 We should be there, it'll be my mom, DD17 (18 by then), DD's BFF, and me! I can't wait I'm so excited. This will be my 5th trip in 4 years and it still feels like the first time. :goodvibes

If you haven't already, find the Mayhem With The Mouse thread and post your plans.

Great updates!!!:thumbsup2

YAY! for remembering Figment!! I :lovestruc Figment! We try to ride every time we go!

Loved your Epcot recap!!:thumbsup2

I can't believe that I forgot about Figment. What kind of Diser am I?

I think you guys will really like Illuminations. It's so neat.

All the buildings being lit up around the WS is my favorite part of Illuminations! Great pictures, Lisa! :thumbsup2

I have to give credit where credit is due....Lacey took the picture 'cause she had a little bit of a better view than I did.

Love the fireworks pics!! I probably won't get a chance to go on TT this year but I am cool with that!!..well kinda!!LOL

I can't wait to get back to Epcot and ride TT. Dallas has started liking it now too :thumbsup2. I can get him on MS on the green side which is the only one I will ride too. The orange version scared the bejeebers out of me :lmao:.

I love Test Track and Mission Space. But, we do the intense version of Mission Space. Love all that spinning and G-Force. Weird, I know!

Alright, I am up to page 175. Huge kudos to you for posting TL pics. You guys are a riot!!

Oh, yeah....those gosh awful Typhoon Lagoon pictures. What was I thinking?

I am loving the TR so far! I am on page 121. I am itching to get back and I have been writing down some of the things you guys did that we didn't. I want to do them the next time..like eating at T-Rex and the Spirit of Aloha.

That's the beauty of Disney World. There's always something new to do the next trip. Glad I was able to inspire you.

My sister went with us to Disney one year over Labor Day. Let's just say that ain't happening again!

I feel your pain! It wasn't the in-laws that ruined one of my trips, it was my bro, his girlfriend, her sister and their combined SEVEN totally out of control, spoiled rotten, over-the-top, ungrateful kids. OK, I feel better now. :yay::yay::yay:

Bless your heart! I would hate going to Disney World (or anywhere else for that matter) with those kinds of people! Lucky they weren't around me because I've actually said something to people in line who were cussing. I've tapped them on the shoulder and asked them to stop since there are so many kids around. Haven't gotten punched in the nose yet. Notice I said YET!

Weren't the poncho pictures the funniest things ever! Of course, he knews that he was entertaining us so he kept doing even funnier things to make the kids laugh.

I couldn't believe that I liked Tower of Terror. The entire time we were waiting in line I was saying I wasn't going to like it.

Lord have mercy! Those are the kinds of stories that make me glad I don't travel with family much.

Love the fireworks pics!! I probably won't get a chance to go on TT this year but I am cool with that!!..well kinda!!LOL

Lacey took the fireworks pictures as she had a better view than I did. Some of them turned out well.

Cant believe I havent read your TR yet Lisa. Even though i was following your other one last year. gotta lotta reading to do. :surfweb:

Me too. And I lit into them one night when I had had enough. We were in line at the monorail and I just started ragging on them like an old drill sergeant. They all got very, very quiet ... and so did the parents. When I was finally done ... after about 10 minutes of yelling at them ... not only did they decide it was time to behave, but I received a round of applause from the others in line. I turned a lovely shade of red, but they at least behaved for the next couple days and said to each other, "You better shut up or Aunt Jane will go off again." :rotfl::rotfl: It didn't speed them up any or get them out of bed before 11 a.m., but at least they stopped the cussing around all the kids. :yay::yay:

Well helloooooo there! I really need to update the first post to include my most recent updates. I hope you'll post comments as you read along.

I will admit that I have had let a small little curse word slip from time to time when something extreme happens (like a overflowed washing machine ). Not often and certainly not in front of kids. I just don't understand what people get from just throwing out curse words.

Good for you standing up to them and putting them in their places.

Lisa, so far I read up to page 90 of your TR. Like always your family is funny. I will admit I laughed a lot at different things. Plus you took pictures of things that I never saw before. Which to me is neat. Next trip I plan on taking it easy and looking at the different things.

I finished im all caught up as of now. I know what you mean about Chef Mickey's we werent really impressed by it either. But i will admit it was better then some of the other Buffets we had. But we sat at the table in the back where they get the drinks so we couldnt see anything in the main room. but if i remember we did get to see the castle from our seats.

I went into this vacation thinking that I would take pictures of "different" things...things that normally would go unnoticed.

Chef Mickey's was just a waste of time to us. I don't think we'll be going back there any time soon.
