Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

Um, I knew I must have missed an installment when everyone was talking about castle pics and statues! SOooooo, I went back and read and now I'm all caught up again!

Your castle pictures were beautiful. I love all of the different colors. I never knew those statues were there, either. They are all so adorable! Dumbo and Pinnochio were my favorites!

Good morning Lisa. I just wanted to share my one last fall picture. I took it this morning as I was leaving my house. Everyone else in the neighborhood has no leaves one their trees. Only mine for some reason. I'm sure they will be blown off by the first of the week.

Morning everybody,

I'm sorry I haven't replied to everybody yet. Last night Mama came over and said that one of my sister's, her husband and her daughter wouldn't be at the house for Thanksgiving. It's my sister and her husband's anniversary and they planned a last minute getaway. My niece attends art school in Florida and only has 3 days off so she's staying in Florida.

I made the comment about us and Mama running off somewhere for Thanksgiving and Mama just smiled. I think she's likin' the idea. I even mentioned Disney. Only problem is the time constraints. It takes us about 15 hours to get to Disney meaning we'd only have 2 1/2 days in Disney and it would still cost us over $1,400.00 (without meals). Kinda hefty sum for just 2 1/2 days.

I've been looking into other places we could go. We could go to Branson and book a package at Grand Country for $500.00. The package includes 3 nights lodging, tickets to a show, a round of indoor mini-golf and a dinner for each of us. That's not bad but then what do we do with the other two days. We wouldn't mind doing the Dixie Stampede but it's almost $50.00 a person. The other stuff in Branson is expensive.

San Antonio is another option. I can find some pretty inexpensive lodging but if I am that close to Sea World, I am going. That's about $50.00 per person. There's stuff to see in San Antonio but the admission fees can add up.

I'm going to keep looking into other places. It needs to be close enough that we can drive there in 8 hours or so. That's limiting us a lot because there's simply nothing around here worth doing. Oh well, I'll keep surfing the web until I find something.

We'll probably just end up sitting at home on Thanksgiving with me getting up at the crack of dawn on Black Friday to invade the stores like all the other nut jobs around here.

Here you go Connie. Out of Mobile. Leaves Thursday gets back Monday. You would have to take Monday off. Total for 2 rooms would lbe $1674.32. Outside rooms. Would include your meals. This is the cruise we generally take cause it is pretty cheap when you book early enough. Still not a bad price. They have inside rooms for $350 a person.

I hope you get to go somewhere really fun, Lisa! If I get to go to Disney over Thanksgiving, that would be so awesome if you could go too and we could meet up. I don't blame you for not going though. That IS a pretty hefty sum for just two days. But I'd love to meet you!

Oh, well - whatever you do, I hope it is a lot of fun. You can have Black Friday. I don't do well with those mobs!

First of all cangrats to Hunter!

We decorated our window for Halloween since we were there in Oct. with Mickey halloween lights and window cling ons but I forgot to take pics of it.
My camera was acting up on me the whole time we were there it kept shutting off about halfway through each day I took 661 pics and I would have taken alot more if it didn't keep shutting off:mad: I don't think I lost any pics but who knows?
Sorry Lacy didn't feel well.
I hope you find something fun to do for Thanksgiving. Thats when we used to go to Disney but we switched to Oct. this year.

Lisa the cruise would prolly be fun. They may have some good specials on the Mississippi coast at the hotels for Thanksgiving weekend because there prolly won't be that many people going during that time.

LOL! We keep saying how Hunter and Isaiah would be pals...but it looks like John and Isaiah would be great friends as well! POWER NAPPERS UNITE!! :lmao:

Oh...and I'm one of those nut-job early risers on Black Friday! It's not so much about the deals as about the adrenaline rush! :yay:

A cruise sounds fantastic...Jeff and I are actually looking into one in April. :goodvibes

Ooooh, I vote for the cruise!! Someplace warm where someone else cooks the meal!! (Not that I can talk...as I go to my mom's!)

Definitely go somewhere! Although, I'll be joining you in the Black Friday throngs if you hang out at home (granted, several thousand miles north, but still...)! I'm actually starting to make my list now so that I get something accomplished that day! I usually just go and pick up little things...usually for us or the house. And last year, I didn't go at all thanks to a surprise Wednesday-night-before-Thanksgiving hospital stay for pneumonia. This year WILL be better!! ;)

I have a friend who is doing the cruise out of Mobile the day after TG! the only thing with the cruise do you have a passport? if not you could check into the new cruise/land only passport card I think it is only $25 but I do not know how long it takes to get one!

I love the San Antonio idea...been wanting to do that one myself...but, I agree I would have to add SW! it is suppose to have some great rollercoasters there or is it six flags?!?
Have a great weekend!

What about a ride and short stay in the Smokies...Gatlinburg is beautiful...remember Mel's TR! it takes us 12 hrs so maybe 9 hrs for ya'll!

Yes! The mountains are a great idea! Don't you know it's beautiful up there right now? Originally, this was the week we were SUPPOSED to be there (our anniversary week), until DH decided to go when it was warmer. We enjoyed that trip SO much! :goodvibes

I agree go somewhere, my vote would be Gatlinburg (my DW :lovestruc lived there before we were married). We leave for WDW on black Friday :yay: and unbelievably even that has to wait :confused3 until my DW hits the sales with all you other "nut-jobs":crazy2:

We just bought some Christmas window clings for upcoming trip. They didn't have any disney christmas ones this year so we went with just regular christmas. It's fun to decorate your room some.

Poor Lacey - I hope the tylenol kicks in, cramps are no fun. Congrats to Hunter on 110 ~ that is awesome and well deserved! What's the update on the water? A cruise would be great for Thanksgiving!

You don't have to have a passport for a cruise as of yet. But you have to leave and come back at the same port.
