Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

I've been trying my best to get an installment posted. It's official.....the boss is getting fired if he doesn't change his attitude. You'd think he was a woman and it was "that time of the month".:rotfl:

Just found a picture on photobucket that I forgot to post before. I took this picture of this gorgeous whatever it is that was growing near our Martinique 26 building.

And a picture that I tried to take of a CBR village at night. Not such a good picture but a picture nevertheless:

The phone rings at 6:45 a.m. and it's our first wakeup call of the vacation. I pick it up and.....and.....and.....NOTHING! No Stitch. No Mickey. Nothing! What the?

Lacey rolls over and I tell her that I'm getting up first and I'll wake up John and make him get ready second. That way, she and Hunter can get in a few extra ZZZZZs.

I start my normal morning routine....punching John and telling him to wake up.:rotfl: Let me change that...I don't punch John...I nudge him. He says I punch him. How does he know? He's asleep.:confused3 Anyway, thankfully, he wakes up pretty easily and is even sitting up in the bed when I get in the shower. Guess he's in the Disney mood.

By the time I am out of the shower, the kids have woke up. Probably because their daddy has jumped on their bed and told them it's the first day in the parks and they gotta get up.

Now, hold on to your seat when I tell you this. Hunter didn't eat a Fudge Round. Whaaaaaat? For those of you who didn't read my first trip report, Hunter eats a couple of Little Debbie Fudge Rounds each and every morning. He's probably only missed two dozen mornings in about 6 or 7 years. I know it's not the most nutricious of breakfasts but it's all I could get him to eat when he started Kindergarten and the trend has continued.

He and Lacey ate cereal that I ordered from Garden Grocer. I love Garden Grocer.:cloud9: John has already eaten his Pop Tart and is ready to jump in the shower. I didn't eat anything 'cause I really am not a breakfast person.

John is normally super slow getting ready. It's so frustrating. He takes his own sweet time putting on his shirt and shorts. He'll get one sock on and then sit there. Then, he'll put the other sock on and then sit there. He'll put one shoe on and then sit there. He'll put the other shoe on and then sit there. Next, he ties his shoes. Ugggggh! So frustrating. It's frustrating me just typing about it. :rotfl:

Hunter is turning out to be just like him. Go ahead and say a prayer for me now because I am sure it'll only get worse when the teenage years hit.

Anyway, so John and I are ready. We told the kids we were going to walk around the resort for a bit while they got ready. Yes, we were up early enough to walk around a while. Here's the first picture of the day. The lens was fogged up because it was cold in the room and already hot outside. I had to urge John to smile.

And then we walked down to the beach and towards the island:

John called Lacey on her cell and told her we were on our way back to the room. She said they were ready to go. Up next.....Epcot!

I absolutely love the word-picture you painted of John jumping on the kids' beds to wake them up! Who says the dad's don't get excited about Disney! :woohoo:

And yes..if Hunter is slow now, just give it a year or two and you'll want to strangle the boy! My Dan HATES getting up and going in the morning. He has taken to getting up, getting a shower, and going back to bed! I think he's up because I heard the shower, but he's sound asleep upstairs! UGH!! His bus comes almost an hour and a half earlier this year than last, so he better be ready for a rude awakening! He has to be ready to catch the bus by 6:49 AM. I may have to resort to the spray bottle with ice water!!! :rotfl:

Gorgeous pics of the resort in the early morning. I love the resort before everyone wakes up and the hustle and bustle begins. It's my favorite time. CBR is beautiful..it's a shame it won't accommodate a family of 5. :sad2:

Can't wait to hear about your first park day! :yay:

Lisa I love that picture of you!!! you need to frame it for John, your kids and mom. It is that good! Love the morning and colors of the background and the purple compliment one another:thumbsup2

I was kinda leaning towards CSR and your pictures keep bringing me back to CBR! The flowers are so beautiful and the colors! the flower in the beginning don't know the name but I believe it is in the ginger halconia family.

I think Dayne sleeps in the shower; until the water runs cold! (you menitioned the ice water bottle) I wake him at 6 he is in the shower until at least 6:30 and than very very slowly gets dressed and walks out of the house at 7! If I were him I'd sleep till 6:30 get up take a 5 min wake up shower get dressed grab a bite to eat (he does not eat; until most days 1-3 pm--I think he has a eating disorder he is just not normal! ) oh well he is a typical BOY TEENAGER! he just MOSEY's along everywhere (unless he is with other teen boys than they are in high gear everywhere:rotfl2: )

Oh you are too sweet. I almost didn't post it because I didn't like it. I like the surroundings though. I have a tendency to slump when I sit. The habit runs in the family. I also hate the whole Bell's palsy thing messing up my face when I smile. Ugh! Such a pain in the behind.

The CBR is absolutely gorgeous. The pictures do not do it justice.

I need to google ginger halconia and see if that's indeed what that red "whateveritis" is.

I think that is why I love the picture! you do not notice your Bell's the smile looks like a sweet smirk! and I don't see a slump! I see you happy and relaxed "YOU ARE IN DISNEY! and it is a beautiful location the glass of the water w/the reflexion! and I love how you can see John's shadow in the bottom of the shot taking a loving picture of the love of his life that is what I see in that shot!!1

I still think it is a great one! and I bet John and your kids would agree...
you're suppose to be hard on yourself...;)

John doesn't show his excitement too much but when he does, he just lets loose.

I make Hunter take his showers at night and then after I wake him up, I make him come into our bedroom and eat and watch television until it's time for him to brush his teeth, comb his hair, etc. This way, I can keep an eye on him. Otherwise, he'd probably go back to sleep too.

Hunter has never had to take the bus to school. He better be thankful because he'd probably miss it. When he was in private school, there were no buses. When he started public school, the school was just about half a mile from our house so it was easy to just drop him off on my way to work. The middle school he attends now is only about fairly close so I am able to take him to school every morning.

I love the spray bottle ida. May have to keep that trick up my sleeve just in case.

I think it's a shame that Disney doesn't have more resorts that sleep 5 people. I know that they do have 'em but I think they are way out of a lot of people's price range.

I have to almost beg or order Hunter to get in the shower and then he stays in there for 30 minutes. Then, I have to tell him repeatedly to get out. Boys!

Awwww, you're gonna make me tear up. You're a sweetheart!

:yay: :woohoo:  :cool1: Yay! You're back!!! Great photos. CBR is so pretty- I loved it there.

Oh Lisa - I so enjoyed your last trip report and it was so fun to read along, but now, with the report... YOU'RE KILLING ME!!! I just want to be there! Your pictures are great and your love for CBR make me want to have that. I can't wait to go so I can come back and plan the next one :lmao:

I am hoping your TR will ease my way in to December! Making my ADR's Monday!!!

I didn't notice this the first time, but now that Connie mentions it, I think it's my favorite thing about that picture. You can almost hear John telling you to smile while he snaps your photo! I love it!!

I think it's a shame that Disney doesn't have more resorts that sleep 5 people. I know that they do have 'em but I think they are way out of a lot of people's price range.

Yeah...the only ones are the Alligator Bayou rooms at POR, the family suites at ASMu...then they get really pricey like the cabins at Fort Wilderness or the Deluxe resorts. WAY out of our price range! It really is a shame considering a family of 5 is not that out of the ordinary.:confused3
