 What do you think? Anything you'd change?

:worship: This will be the longest we've ever stayed at WDW. It will be nice to have so much time we can actually relax at our resort and also venture over to the other resorts to see all the beautiful holiday decorations. We've made it an annual tradition to visit WDW for Thanksgiving and the first week of December. :scared: The day of Thanksgiving and through the weekend WILL be a little chaotic at WDW (understatement!). Happily, I think the days before will be fairly quiet/mild crowd-wise. I had NO problem adding on the days at Port Orleans for Sun - Wed. Also, when I called to add ADRs, I got EVERYTHING I wanted on those days (including V&A). I am thinking it was wise to move our arrival date. More days with Mickey and more fun to be had. :woohoo:

See you there with bells on. Have a magical trip! :wizard:

Jennifer, Wow! You have so much time at WDW! I couldn't believe how much you plan to relax at the resort! I'm glad you were able to get all your ADRs you wanted. I've never eated at V&A, but I can't wait to hear what you think!! I think your plan sounds great! However, I don't think you and I will be anywhere at the same time! Too bad. I will have LGMH with a santa hat on my bag- keep an eye out for me!

Kristan....Is Stitch coming around has he caught any of the Disney Fever?:rolleyes1

I do believe Stitch is coming around. We were talking about Disney and our trip last night. Before, he had told me we probably wouldn't be back to Disney due to the cost, but last night he said we might be able to return in a few years! Whoo-hoo! Let's see what he says after he as gone! I really think he will have a great time- he just isn't too excited about being at MK from open to close!- we might have to take the trip a little slower than I'd like, so I don't burn him out!

If he isn't feeling the Disney Magic, yet, he is seeing that I'm affected by it. That is making him excited. I guess that is all that matters!

What part of Texas are you in?
John, I currently live in Dallas and I work in Plano. I grew up in Plano from the time I was in first grade. Where in Texas are you?

:thumbsup2 We live in the DFW area too. We use to live in Plano. DD6 was born at Presby in Plano. Now, we live closer to Denton. If you ever want to get together for a "family" lunch. DH is a BIG Disney fan and may be able to get your DH excited for the trip.

:sad2: Neither DH or I went to WDW as children. We didn't even go before we had children. Our first trip was four years ago. Since then, we have been seven times. Yes, seven times in four years and we have driven six of those times. For a change, we flew to WDW last month. Needless to say with all the logistics (and it's cheaper), we are driving in November. :wizard: There is just something magical about WDW and spending quality family time. We even made a special trip last October to join DVC. We are that committed to taking Disney trips (Not just to WDW. But, DLR and Adventures by Disney. DH promised a trip to Europe in three years. Yay!!!!:woohoo:)

:thumbsup2 If you are staying at a Disney resort, you can get a Birthday and 1st Trip button upon check-in. Just ask!

:thumbsup2 You can get a Dole Whip at Aloha Isle (MK - Adventureland) and at The Polynesian resort. So if you were going to venture over to the Poly, you can get one there too. DH had his first Dole Whip float last month. I had one the trip before. "Yummy! Yummy! Yummy! Yummy!" - Stacy quote from Disney's top 7 Must Do's. However, she was referring to the food at Epcot. You will know that show from beginning to end by day two. ;) It plays on the tv in your room. We usually would fall asleep to it. :happytv:

:thumbsup2 We went on Carousel of Progress for the first time last month. It was interesting and that song stuck in my head for the rest of the day. It was so relaxing in there, DS3 fell asleep.:cloud9: That was a nice break for us! ;) We're willing to try every ride at least once. Believe it or not, one of our family-favorite "relaxing" rides in that area is TTA. :thumbsup2 If you are in Tomorrowland and need a break, hop on it. I think it's a hidden gem and overlooked by many guests.

Jennifer, Thanks for the advice. I had no idea you can get the birthday button and 1st time button at the resort. That will certainly help with my MK plans!

DH and I live close to Dallas Love Field. I think getting together would be fun! Just send me a PM.

Small world I live by the Galleria, anyway i don't want to highjack this thread

I know I've been absent lately! It has been busy!

Here is the EPCOT List:

Rides we HAVE to ride:
Spaceship Earth
Mission Space
Test Track
Soarin'
Maelstrom (I've never done it!)

Rides we can ride if the line isn't too long
Nemo
Living with the Land
Reflections of China

Shops
Mousegear
World Showcase Shopping- espcially Italy- I'm on a mission to get a mask- I have 2, and I think they are beautiful!

Other things:
Coolspot- don't know if I can lie to DH about Beverly with a straight face or not
All the countries!!!!- I have to take LOTS and LOTS of pictures!

Dining:
Marakesh
Les Chefs de France (We have ADRs, but I'm thinking of canceling them.)
Boulangene Patisserie- yummy French Pastries!!

I'd love to eat at LeCellier, but I can't get ADRs for it. Maybe we will just stop in.

I'm also thinking of looking at Coral Reef

Even though EPCOT is one of my favorite parks, this is probably my shortest list. Oh well.

I hope to be back sooner than later with more lists and updates! Thanks for sticking with me!

Kristin

I'm a little late responding to the MK list but you have to ride Carousel of Progress. It's a classic Disney ride. I just adore it but I just love the history of Disney so maybe that's why.

Your Epcot list looks good. I would recommend calling when you are down there. I did a few changes to my ADR's while I was down there and the CM's seemed to be really flexible trying to get you in since you are actually there. :thumbsup2

Thanks, Lallie! I will try that. I'm just not too sure about my ADRs for two places, and I'm thinking of changing them, but I guess I can leave them until we get down there- that is, unless I can find an O'Hanna's breakfast! (I LOVE Stitch!!! :stitch2: )

:scared: We ate at Restaurant Marrakesh in September. Honestly, we didn't like the food. We are pretty adventurous and love exotic food. However, we found it was not very good. JMHO. :thumbsup2 It has been marked off our list. We're on a quest to try every Epcot restaurant. Next up . . . Chefs de France.

:cool1: We have an ADR for Chefs de France (lunch) for November too. I'm excited to try their Croque Monsieur . I use to live in Europe and those are yummy! The Boulangerie Patisserie had some really yummy desserts too. I can't remember what it was called, but a woman in front of me recommended a flaky looking pastry with cream in it. OMG! It was so good! We didn't care for the eclairs though. They had fluffy cream in them, not a custard-type cream. Very disappointing. Overall, lots of yummy things to choose from. But, VERY $$$$$$ (What isn't at WDW though? ;) )

Thanks, Jennifer for your advice. I ate at Marakesh 6 years ago on my last trip and really enjoyed it. It is also one restuarant Stitch seemed very interested in, so I don't think I'll change that.

I, too, want to try many of the restuarants in EPCOT, but there is only so much time on this trip and there are so many other great places to eat! I may keep Chefs. I can't decided. I'm still trying to LeCelliar, but they always say it is booked. I'm going to try a slightly larger party. We will see.

I hope to do an update later today, so stay alert!

Ok. . . Why now??

For the last four days, I've been dealing with severe back pain. I have no idea how I got it. It just started Sunday morning. I thought I just slept on it wrong! Thinking it would simply go away, I waited. I waited. . . .and . . . .waited. . . and. . . .waited. It hasn't gone away.

I've found 3 ibubrofen help immensely! Now, I'm, at least, functional. I've been at work, but I'm moving at about quarter speed when I walk around! :scared1:

My biggest fear: I leave in 3 weeks. What if I can't ride the rides at WDW? :scared1: :sad1: No, no! I can't be injured 3 weeks before the trip.

When my back wasn't getting better, Stitch gave me the number for a back doctor that was recommended to him (He has scoliosis). I called him today, and they can get me in tomorrow. (I also have a dentist appointment tomorrow). I'm taking a sick day and going to both! We will see what the doctor says!! Keep me in your prayers!

I can't believe we are 20 days out! Tomorrow starts the teens countdown!!

Kristin

I hope everything is just fine and dandy with your back. If you aren't in too much pain you might want to go for some walks before your trip, that helped me with my back pain when I was in Disney.

Thanks Lallie! I was thinking of doing that!
I also brought those sticky heating pads that stick to your back. Those helped a lot but I didn't have to use them too often down there. I think those few walks I went on before we left really helped.

Oh No!! I hope your back gets better soon! Please let us know what the doc says!!

(I completely tore ligaments in my left ankle in July and I'm still limping around. I hope in 5 weeks it will heal more so I won't be such a baby on our trip - taking son for first time :sad2: )

Here's some pixie dust to bring you lots of luck and healing!! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:
