Stitch is Troubled; He needs dessert!!- TR with photos (and light and food porn!)

Love the pics of Pepper Marketplace & light fixtures! How peaceful that looked walking to the bus stop - and how unpeaceful it looked with the crowds at MK :lmao:

I just love the Christmas decorations! I'll be there in 3 days, 22 hours & 6 minutes (not that I'm counting or anything :confused3 ).

Can't wait to read more! popcorn::

In my last update, we had just gotten off Space Mountain, and DH thought it was OK. :lmao:

We head through Tomorrowland towards Fantasyland.

Cool futuristic trees!

I wanted Stitch to ride It's a Small World- every first timmer HAS to ride it! Well, the wait was 35 minutes or something crazy like that! I decided against it for the moment. We checked out Mickey's PhilharMagic, and it said the wait was 10 mintues! Alright! It was one of my must-sees, so we had to get on.

As we waited in line prior to entering the waiting area, I was shootings lots of pictures- pictures of the posters, the neat artwork on the wall (heh, I'm a musician!!). The guy behind me look at Stitch and said (indicating me) "First time at Disney World or what??" I was really hurt. I wasn't keeping the line from moving as I shot pictures, I was just shooting as many as I could while we wound through the line. I looked back and said, "No, first time at Disney World with a digital camera." Oh course, Stitch had to tell the man that I shoot pictures of everything. I was so embarassed. So what if I was shooting pictures. My flash wasn't on and I was distrubing anyone. ARGH! It still upsets me over three weeks later!!!!

Oh, vent over!

We went into the waiting area after grabbing our nifty 3-D glasses! :3dglasses

I noticed this light fixture. Sorry it is dark- I wasn't using a flash in order to get the effect of the lights (and so Mr. So-Not-A-Photographer wouldn't say anything!)
DSC_0112.jpg

We were ushered into the theatre. I knew there was at least one hidden mickey on the stage, so I had to photograph it! (I'm a horn player, and I was thrilled to see a hidden mickey in my instrument- even if they did have to make it wrong in order for Mickey to work!)
DSC_0118.jpg

Mickey's PhilharMagic was so cool! I loved every second of it! I would have ridden it again and again, but we didn't. Stitch was complaining that he needed water, so we went up to a snack cart in Fantasyland. While we were waiting, I shot a couple pictures of the architecture because I'd heard in LL's trip report that they pay careful attention to how it changes between lands. I just wanted some of the neatness of Fantasyland.

We walked through Fantasyland to Liberty Square. We saw the line for HM was coming out of the que, but it wasn't winding around, so we jumped in. Stitch wasn't happy about the length of the line, but I knew we had to ride this one, too!

The front door of the mansion had a wreath on it for the holidays, but it looked like it had been there for a while! (Man, I love imagineering!) I tried multiple times to hold my camera up and take the shot. This is the best I got:

Here is a light I saw right before we got to the graveyard right out front.

I enjoyed the ride, and the updates didn't take away from the ride at all. It was fantastic! Just a classic Disney ride! Stitch again, said it was OK. :sad2: Oh well. (He does get onboard MUCH later!)

We headed through Liberty Square to Adventureland.

Loving the report and all the pictures!
I'm impressed with your room, I had no idea they were so nice.

Looking forward to more!

Don't worry about that jerk in Mickey's Philharmagic, he must not be a true Disney lover to say something jerky like that!

I love all your pictures. I have the same blurry photo of that light fixture inside Mickey Philharmagic too! Except I had the CM telling me they were going to close the doors so hurry up! :rotfl2:

I'm glad you enjoyed looking at all of the details around Fantasyland. I missed that light fixture at Haunted Mansion, I just love that ride. I can't wait for May to get here so I can go light fixture crazy!

Thanks for sharing all the great Disney World pictures and information - it was fun to follow along!

My 5 year old son always asks me why I like to take pictures and I say cause I'm saving the memories.....that guys obviously doesn't know how to "save memories" from his Disney trip! I think you are doing a great job! Don't let someone ruin your party who just doesn't get the magic!!! We get you and appreciate the pics!! :goodvibes

Apparently, our room was a club level room. We got lucky! It was a very nice room. I loved the decorations!

Thanks for the wonderful trip report! I am loving it!
I Can't wait to personally see CSR!!!:yay:

You will love CSR. I did. We got one of the recently renovated rooms, so don't be disappointed if your room hasn't been renovated yet! Enjoy your trip!!!

LL, I can't wait for your trip or your TR!! I wish I had another trip to look forward to. I can't wait to see all your light fixture pictures!:goodvibes

Thanks for saying that about Mr. Negative at Mickey's Philharmagic! It makes me feel better!

It is so true! Stitch didn't mind the pictures (most of the time), but this guy just didn't get it!!

Kristin

I just love catching a TR from the beginning! I'm lovin' it and am subbed! And EATING UP your pix of CSR! :cool1:

Ok, it has been a while, I know. However, I'm back and ready to go!

Hmm. . .where did I leave off. . .Oh yes, we got off of Space Mountain and Stich said it was ok! When I left you, we were in line for the Haunted Mansion.

After we got off the Haunted Mansion, Stitch said it was OK! :lmao: Oh!! We headed to Adventureland! Of course, we had to stop for water again (good ole Stitch!)

DSC_0136.jpg

Then, we decided to ride the Pirates of the Caribbean. Stitch didn't realize until right before we left for WDW that the movie was based on a ride! Poor guy!!!
I found lots of great light fixtures just in the Pirates ride itself!

and a Deadly game! (who doesn't have this photo, right?!)
DSC_0142.jpg

I didn't think the addition of Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow detracted too much from the ride. Most of it was still the same as I remembered! Phew! Nice going Imagineers!

Once off the ride (which again was ok from Stitch), we went into the souvier shop. I heard that there was a gold pirate medalion (like the one in the movie) on a red vase. I was on a mission! I found it about half way through on the right!
DSC_0147.jpg

After Pirates, Stitch was tired and wanted to go back to the room to rest. Well, I decided to give him that time to rest, so he wouldn't get cranky!! We headed towards Main Street. As we were walking, I just happened to see the sign for Aloha Isle, and I knew that was the place to get a Dole Whip. Well, I begged Stitch to stop. He found a place to sit while I stood in the short line to get my Dole Whip. (I'd never had one!!!! I couldn't wait!)

I wasn't sure I ordered the right thing. I think I ordered Dole Pinapple soft serve in Pinapple juice. It was called a Dole Whip, but I wasn't sure it was THE Dole Whip! Of course, before we could try it, I had to shoot a picture of it. They put the clear cup inside a paper one!

DSC_0148.jpg

Oh, is my mouth ever watering right now! How I wish I could get one! Yumm! It was delicious. Stitch didn't appreciate it because he was tired. He had some, but it didn't seem to surpass the OK test. Oh well. I adored it! After that, I was ready to go on and conquer the rest of the Magic Kingdom, but I had promised Stitch some down time. We headed for Main Street.

DSC_0149.jpg

We did make a few stops at the stores (I was on the mission for a few items!) We stopped at the Uptown Jewelers to find a flat sliver Mickey Head charm. They only had gold! :confused3 Oh well. However, I did see this cute guy

DSC_0150.jpg

I thought he was cute, but I didn't have the money or a place to put him. I figured shooting pictures of all the things I wanted but couldn't afford would score me a couple points with Stitch who was pretty grumbly by this point!

I really was on a mission to find the Chapeau! I wanted to make my own ears! We made it!

DSC_0151.jpg

I looked around at the ears and prices. I felt silly spending $20 or so on a silly hat I probably wouldn't wear. I chickened out. . . for now.

We went back to CSR and took a nap. Well. . .Stitch took a nap, and I recorded all we did! I was too excited to sleep. I was at Disney World!!!!!!!!

Pete Werner, owner of this site, recently sent a cease and desist notice to the owners of the website d i s l i v e . c o m demanding that they stop using their site because the name is too similar to his. To avoid an expensive legal battle, they changed the name of their site. He has now sent a letter demanding they turn over the domain name to him or face a lawsuit. Not offering to pay for it, but simply demanding it be turned over. He apparently thinks he has absolute rights to the letters dis. Gosh, Pete, going after Disney next?

Just wanted to let you know a little about the “ethics” of the board owner.

I had so much fun posting the last post, I had to do another!

Once back at CSR, we rested, but first, we had to get water for Stitch, of course. I shot some more pictures of CSR during the day.

While Stitch slept, I figured out what time we needed to leave the resort in order to get to our ADR at Liberty Tree in time. I woke Stitch from his nap by accident. "I thought you wanted to sleep?" he asked. I told him I was too excited. He actually got up and started getting ready to go! Love him!

We got what we needed and headed to the bus stop. We waited for the MK bus (which always seemed to take forever!) We finally got one, and headed back to MK. Without being in a big rush, I was able to see more on our way in.

Stitch was starving (even though we had dinner reservations), so I suggested Casey's. We stopped. While Stitch ordered, I took some pictures.

DSC_0166.jpg

Stitch ordered Corn Dog Nuggets. Well, to say the least, I wasn't thrilled with his choice. I'm not a big corn dog fan. He asked me to try them- they were delicious!! They didn't taste like nappy corn dogs at all- they were splendid! It was a favorite of the whole trip! :rotfl2:

Anyway, with the time we had, we stopped for some castle pictures! It is, after all, MY castle!!!!

After the castle, we walked to z Frontierland to get Fast Passes for Big Thunder Mountain!!! The FP time was much later after our dinner, so I knew we were fine. As we were walking out of Frontierland, we saw this little band. They were walking down the street playing music and singing. I'm a musician, so I stopped to watch for a bit. They saw my Birthday pin I had been wearing, and they called out to me.

"Happy Birthday, Kristin!" They started singing. I stood there LOVING every minute of it! Afterwards, I thanked them and asked them to get a picture. They said "You want a picture with us?? You are the first girl who wants to take a picture with us!!!!" They were so funny!
DSC_0177.jpg

After that, Stitch pulled me away and suggested I not wear my birthday button after that day. He said I got so much attention, and it wasn't fair because my birthday had already passed. I rolled my eyes, but didn't say anything. I think he was jealous of all the attention I got!!! Oh well.

We stopped at Liberty Tree to see if we could eat early, but they were packed. We had to come back closer to our time. Fair enough. We shopped at the Christmas shop near by.

Beautiful stuff, but the place was full. I found a CD set I wanted, so I stood in line. The man who rang me out was deaf. I struggled to remember the signs for Merry Christmas and Thank you. I remembered them and was very excited I got to use them! He was very nice!

In Part 6, I'll show you my Castle Photography Study and pictures from LTT!!
