Okay - I received a letter from my closing company dated 12/20, stating the closing has taken place, One of the paragraphs states, "Typically the recording process is approximately 4-6 weeks following submission".
Does this mean it will take over a month for the county to file and send it to Disney???
Then the next line says
"Upon our receipt of the recorded instrument, we will fax to the resort to update their files. Kindly remember, the resort will not acknowledge you as the new owner until they are in receipt of the recorded instrument".
Am I looking at another month before I can book my trip!!!!

I'd call DVC and ask if you are in the computer (they can check using your SS#). If you are listed there, you can begin making reservations immediately.

WELCOME HOME!! :)

Usually DVC has the information in their computers within a week or so of closing. With the holidays, it might take a little longer, but I'd think you'd be there by now.

The recording process they are talking about is recording your deed with the county. That takes a couple of weeks - but shouldn't impact anything other than people being able to do a property search on the county records and call you about selling your DVC or buying another timeshare.

Waited 25 minutes on the phone to find out still not in the computer!!!! I will call next Monday, later in the day, because if I get through and in the computer, I can book my trip!!!!!
