Still Sassy after all this time!

Good Morning Ladies.

Today I'm on a search for a dress. My niece is getting married in two weeks and I'd like to find something for the rehearsal party. I'm really not into dresses.......more of a crop pants kind of girl but can't really do that for a wedding. I think my main problem will be finding one that isn't sleeveless. I really don't like to wear sleeveless things and that seems to be the style right now. We'll see what I can find. :confused3

Happy hunk day!! How about a little Hugh for hunk day?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BARNEY!!!!!!!

How was the concert?

Becca- Way to go on the tip money.:thumbsup2 Do you have much stuff left over?

Judi-- You are really looking forward to summer, aren't ya?:rotfl: So glad you like your loot. No insult to your personal hygiene habits, naturally! We Sassies are a clean, sweet (smelling) lot, aren't we?:rolleyes1

Tricia-- How's the new hair-do? And good luck on the Dress Odyssey. I detest dress shopping, and am also a fellow sleeve-lover.

Angie-- I heart Hugh Jackman. Did anyone see him on Oprah the other day?

As for the window... we'll just have to get it replaced with a similar window. It's 25 years old and a piece of poo anyway, so I can't imagine the replacement will be that much. The installation however... That's where they nail consumers!:sad2: To answer Bex, it's a single window, double hung. Nothing fancy whatsoever.

Got our radon collectors removed today. Hope they're EMPTY!!!!!

What's everyone doing this weekend? Any Mother's Day plans? Nothing big here, maybe we'll go see the new X-Men movie.

Hi Bonnie, Squid, Meli, Kimmy, Julie, Jeni, and everyone else!!

Happy Birthday Barney!!!:yay::cheer2:

We have hardly anything left from the garage sale, just one load to Goodwill that fit tidely in my van! So happy about that.

We saw the X men movie this weekend. Was a little disappointed with it sometimes, but Hugh nekkid made it a definite 9 for me!:lovestruc

Have a great Humpday Sassies!

Hi Bonnie, Squid, Meli, Kimmy, Julie, Jeni, and everyone else!!

Well, since you asked,

Barney was pulled up to the stage by Bruce and sang "Raise Your Hand" with him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly, I don't think I have any present that can compete with that! Of course, no cameras are allowed in the venue so as of yet I have no video of the event. But, I have set Mr. FofP on the hunt and he can be quite a bloodhound for these types of things. He's already tracked down a still photo from the event that some person sneakier than I took so we at least have that. It is really a sweet photo. Barney, as you might imagine, is on cloud 9 today.

One of the greatest parts about it? He actually sang in tune (I think) so all of those voice lessons have not been in vain!:rotfl:

Gotta run, ladies - I have birthday prep to do and my carpets just got cleaned and I need to keep Wally busy and off of them. I'll post more later - hope everyone of you fine, sassy ladies is having a great day!

WOW Wilma! Just.... wow!!!!!! What an amazing memory for you all. Kudos to you for properly preparing your son for such a moment! Can you imagine if he got up there, didn't know any lyrics & sang like a banshee?

Hope the rest of Barney's bday goes well, even if it won't live up to last night! Good luck on the photo hunt.

Bex-- Doesn't it feel great to unload a bunch of unwanted crud from your house?

Speaking of which... we go house hunting on Saturday. I will definitely be getting rid of a whole lot more junk before we move. I've been systematically paring down the past 2 years, but haven't touched the "motherload" in the attic. :scared1:

Thanks, Shannon - I just picked him up from school and he's still on cloud 9:cloud9:

We found a picture of the two of them on brucespringsteen.net, I don't know how to post a link. He's on the front page in Bruce's arms.

Good luck with the purging. I would LOVE to get rid of the crapola in my attic but it's just too daunting.:scared1:

Wow Barney what a great gift you got. Wilma I hope he's having a wonderful birthday day. Did he go to school and tell all his friends about his once in a lifetime experience?

Well guess what I bought today? Can you believe a sleeveless dress! :sad2::confused3 I loved the way it fit so I threw caution to the wind and said what the hay.

ETA~

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BARNEY!!
(One day late)

Wow Wilma, what a fabulous present that was!! I looked at the pic-he looks so excited!!! I'm sure Barney will never forget this b-day!!

We have officially hit the 100's. I'm bummed. You guys hate winter-I hate summer. :teeth:

Good for you Tricia!! I am too chicken to go sleeveless. I have the arm fat that keeps flapping long after you've stopped waving your arm! Not a good look.

Good Morning Sassies. I'm just returning from a lovely trip to WalMart. I was getting all the goods for Mother's Day. I'm still not exactly sure what we'll be doing on Sunday but Saturday we're having my whole family over. Colin has a game then after that Mark will be putting some goodies on the grill.

So what's your plans form Mother's Day?

Hello out there in sassyland. I'm starting to get sad :sad1: because no one is ever around anymore. Please come back...................:flower3:

Hopefully once school lets out the thread will pick up again. I miss you all. :guilty:

:wave2:

It does echo in this place now.:flower3:

Tricia just a little over 2 weeks :woohoo:

I miss you guys too! Unfortunately, no time to read/post now.:sad1:

The contract on our house fell through today, & it goes back on the market tonight. So, in addition to having company for brunch tomorrow, I have to bust butt tonight to get it ready to (hopefully) show tomorrow.

Apparently, our buyers are very young (first time buyers) who are getting money for the house from the woman's father. Apparently "Dad" is "in the construction business" and is demanding all sorts of extra inspections that even the regular home inspector said were unnecessary. So, we said no way Jose, and they walked. Such is life, right?

I'll try to log on this weekend sometime, but if I don't, I'm still thinking of my Sassy friends! Have a Great Mother's Day Sassy Moms!!!

Shannon I'm so sorry the sale fell through. On the bright side you had so many people come by on the first day I'm sure you'll get a new buyer soon. Good luck!

I need to do some cleaning this morning. My family is coming over this afternoon so everything has to be in it's place. It's really not any of my stuff that needs picking up. Oh kids........................:rotfl:

What beautiful flowers Judi. I hope you and Mom had a wonderful day.

Happy Monday and hello out there is sassyland.

Big, big day here in the Grumpy household today. Kelsie is getting her Senior Ring. :goodvibes While that is a very happy time it also makes me a little sad because my baby is growing up. Reality is slowly sinking in. When I was in HS we didn't get our rings until Senior year. Now or at least at her school you get them at the end of Jr. year. All the Seniors are gone now so I guess the Jr.s are officially the Seniors after today. Only 10 days left of school then summer break starts.

Good morning Sassies! I hope everyone had a fabulous Mother's Day!

Shannon, sorry about the contract. That really stinks. I'm sure you'll find another buyer soon. You didn't dig up the buried items in the yard yet did you?

Wilma, what an awesome birthday surprise for Barney! I bet he's still on cloud 9!

Angie, did the pooches treat you to a spa day?

Judi, keep your freezing temps up there! It frosted this morning and I'm really glad I didn't plant the garden yet. It may be July before I get it in with these temps.

Bonnie, what did you do for Mother's day?

Squiddy, how's the dating going? Are you a pro now?

Tricia, I think we got our Senior Rings in our Junior year too. I know I wore it longer than just my senior year, or should I say my boyfriend did. Do kids still do that?

Well, laundry is calling my name since I took the weekend off from housework. That may have been a mistake!

Have a fun Monday Sassies!

Hi Gang! I know I have been MIA. Things are just crazy with our semester winding down and just so much of everything!
Happy Belated Birthday wishes to everyone that I missed telling during the past couple of weeks.

Judi - How is your mother? I hope still feeling well and that you had a special Mother's Day.

What did everyone do for Mother's Day? We had a cook out (but ate in due to a chilly breeze) and then shot pistols and rifles. (Hickville, I know) But it was fun. Saturday was my birthday and we went to eat at a restaurant on a lake. It was a bit breezy too for eating outside.

Tricia, I am putting a picture below of me, my son, and I am holding my nephew. It isn't the best but it is only a couple of months ago. My hair isn't as dark as it looks in the picture, but it is brown with some red highlights. Hopefully it will help if we get to meet.
