Still Sassy after all this time!

hey there, Sassies! How did everyone's Mother's Day go? Mine was good...we went to Dinosaur Land out near Shennadoah Valley. Kinda lameish, but it was a pretty drive and a beautiful day! The girls got me pink roses, a new perfume (light Blue by Dolce & Gabana) and the free straw tote with fragrance purchase! It's cute!

What has everyone been up to?

My passport arrived! After only two weeks! I was told 4 to 6 weeks! I was very thrilled to get it. Can't wait to get my first stamp in it. Joe has been saying that we should go to Cozumel for a long weekend in a few weeks when things settle down for him with work. That would be a delight!

Julie! Love the pic, lady!

Judi, Squid and I have not double dated as of yet. We've talked about it though!

Shannon, sorry the sale fell through. I'm sure something even better will come along!!

Tricia, wow, your daughter is a senior almost! That IS scary! It's gonna be hard when the kids start leaving the nest...I'm dreading that.

Bex, how is Chet these days? I'm thinking he could use a flowered bonnet...kinda springish, no?

Angus, where the heck are you, lady?

Wilma, that's soooo neat that Barney was called up on stage! That's something none of you will ever forget!

Good Morning Sassies! :wave2:

Julie thanks for posting a picture. It really does make it easier to try to find someone in a crowd when you know who you are looking for. Oh and did I mention we made our shirts this weekend. Thirteen bright orange shirts with a mickey on the front. We won't be that hard to spot. :rotfl:

So it's official, I am the mother of a high school senior............the principal of Kelsie's school said they were officially the senior class. :sad1: The ceremony was really nice and yes I cried. Just the start of the water works to come in her senior year I'm sure. Where has the time gone?

Good morning Sassies! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Tricia-- Watching them grow up so fast is bittersweet, isn't it?

Bonnie-- Ooh! Cozumel! I'm contorting myself into one of your suitcases.;)

Angie-- I hope you're not melting right now, and Bex (and Judi), I hope you're not freezing.

Hi everyone else! Julie, it was great to put a face to your name. I hope you have a wonderful trip to the World! And you too Tricia!

So, we signed another contract last night. Still have to go through inspection/radon/appraisal process again, and this time I'm not holding my breath. If it happens, it happens, right?

However, if all goes well, we close on this house June 18th. Ack!!! Have to find another house STAT.

I'll try to pop in more often if I can. Bye for now!

Howdy!! I hope everyone had a fabulous Mother's Day! :flower3:

We had my mom and MIL over for an early dinner, and after cooking and cleaning all weekend I was plum tuckered. I do NOT like to entertain. :sad2:

Yay-we had a Bonnie sighting! Sounds like you had a great Mother's Day. Tell Joe that you want to wait and go to Cozumel in the fall when it's not so hot and humid!! Although since it's an island maybe it's not as bad as the mainland. I sadly have a completely stamp free passport. We got ours 2 years ago and still have never used them. :sad1:

Tricia~ Don't worry too much, your first baby may be a senior, but you've still got 2 more who will be around for awhile. Has Kelsie started thinking about college? Are you hoping she'll stay close to home?

Shannon-congrats on the 2nd contract. Fingers and toes crossed for this one. June 18th-egats! Better get packing.

Becca-wassup in the 'zoo? Last I heard the Wings were ahead in their series-are they still??

Judi-does Cole have any big plans for this summer? I say send her down to Aunt Becca's-she'll come home with a great love of bleach and will be able to bake some fabulous cookies!! :thumbsup2

Julie-thanks for posting your pic. It's always fun to see pics of everybody. How's Atlas?

Wilma-did you fall in the pool? Come back!! What's your summer schedule look like this year? Do you work in the summer?

Gertie's new annoying saying whenever she's trying to find our boss: "Whenever I go to his office he's either not there or behind doors" :confused3 Um...we are all behind doors of some kind. I think you mean behind CLOSED doors???

Good Morning Sassies.

This is me sending out the troops looking for the sassies who've lost their way.

*pops in*

I'm a bad sassy lurker.

Life has been rather crazy with work & not having internet time. I'm trying to play catch up here.

Shannon - I hope this house works out for you :)

Bonnie - Oh mexico sounds fun. Who is Joe btw? I'm out of the loop.

Angie - *hugs* I guess your MIL ended up moving already?

Tricia - :grouphug: Senior year will be fun & sad. I know my mother had a rough time with it to. (mainly because she knew I was going to be moving 1200+ miles away)

Hope everyone had a nice mother's day. I"m hoping I'll stay around more this time :)

Wow Yoda

Long time no see, Welcome back.

Thanks :)

I spent last week in PA for work and now that I'm back things should be a little more sane in my life. I have a new office that means less destraction and thus more productivity and in turn more play :)

Judi I know I'm one of the older ones of the bunch but I don't know who that teen idol is? Shaun Cassidy is who hung on my walls. I would anxiously await the Hardy Boys every week.

Hey Mel  nice to have you back.

Good Thursday Morning

Tricia, that would be Bobby Sherman. Don't ask me what he did, the name just popped in my head:upsidedow
Julie, it nice to have a face with the name.

Have a great day ladies.

Oh, Becca, Cole is on her way down state. You can try to catch her at the zoo, Greenfield Village, Greek town............8th grade trip.

Good Morning Judi.

Oh 8th grade trip.......how fun!!!! I don't think I had an 8th grade trip. Kendall will be in 8th grade next year. I wonder if she'll have one. How far from where you live is the zoo Cole is going to? I hope the snow has finally melted and all the animals will be having fun.

About 250 miles. Cruise on the Detroit river tonight too.

8th grade prom, trip, all stem from kids not finishing high school up here. 80 kids on this trip. Let's hope 80 in 2013.

Hey Sassyville! We've been a quiet bunch lately.:guilty:

Judi, that's the wrong side of the state! Tell her to hop a semi and take a trip across 94. Did you get those wicked storms last night too? Wowzzers, haven't had one like that in awhile.

Tricia, your trip is so close! Where are you all staying? Is everyone staying together?

Julie, nice to put a face with the words! I must say you do not look librarianish.

Meli, glad to see you!

Angie, I think the snow is done for awhile. I hope at least. How mil's house coming?

Hi Shannon, Bonnie and Squiddy!

That is a busy day! What do they do tomorrow? I hope they aren't getting on the people mover that goes anywhere near the Joe, tonight is game 7 and it gets crazy down there then! I hope they get out of there before the game ends too.

So what's a people mover? Is that like a subway or something close? The only people mover I know of is the Wed Way People Mover at Disney. They went and changed the name on that too.

Becca we are staying at the Bonnet Creek. It's right next door to the Carribean Beach Hotel. We have a 4 bedroom Presidential Suite (really a condo) but that's the fancy name they give the 4 bedrooms. So yes, we are all staying together. It has two master bedrooms with king beds, two other bedrooms with two queen beds in each and a sofa bed in the living room. We are supposed to have an EPCOT view of the fireworks every night. We'll see soon enough. I really feel like I should start packing but my niece's wedding is this weekend so we have to get through that first.

The people mover reminds me of the monorail at Disney. Its on a track above the ground and it moves through downtown Detroit. Its kind of fun actually, but not after a Red Wings or Tigers game, way too crowded.

I always see the Bonnet Creek sign and wondered what its like in there. Take lots of pictures! That will be fun staying all together. Plus having a kitchen will be handy.

Having a kitchen will be handy for breakfast but that's where my kitchen skills stop on vacation.

Judi when will Cole come home? Is it a whole weekend trip?
