Its raining like crazy here. Has been off and on since last friday it seems. I haven't showered yet today but I'm a night time shower person.

I am coveting new cabinets, but can't have any for a while.

No new cabinets, just granite countertop. Cabinets are still in good shape, despite being 25 yrs old.

It's not snowing, and I have not taken a shower today.

It's not raining, OR snowing, and I have also not taken a shower. Mostly because the drywall repairman has been here all day, and showering with strange men in the house creeps me out. So, I will take mine tonight!

Closing went well. My mortage payment is $50 less than I thought it was going to be so thats always good.

Sent in my amended taxes so I can get my $8,000 first time buyer's credit plus Shaun got a $1300 bonus from work (for hitting their holiday season's goals by 200%) so I have some shopping to do soon. We're going to buy a new bedroom set so we can finally get a King Bed, then Dining Room furniture in general since that room is bare, and a new couch hopefully. Doing our part for the economy you know.

Wow-we have a bunch of stinky sassies today!!

My MIL arrives tonight for a 2-3 week visit. Why do open-ended visits bug me so much? I guess it's the planner in me; I need to know so I can plan everything!!

Shannon-you're gonna fix that house up so much you're not going to want to move! Our house is becoming a money pit. We need to start putting some money into it, but gotta save the money first. But I want new carpet now!

Bex~I will think of you in that rickety little train shack this weekend and pray for your safety. Have fun in Chi-town! I wish I was close enough to go for the day-it's such a great city.

Meli~congrats on your new house!! Welcome to the joys of home ownership and the money sucking vacuum it creates!!

Happy Friday Sassies! I feel like I'm back in the land of the living!

No worries Angie, this time we are going to the Museum of Science and Industry so we get off the train before the scary pee smelling shack. They were redoing that stop when we went last summer, I hope its done before we get off at that stop again! Then we get to navigate the bus system, I will miss you and your transit notes. I love Chicago too and we don't get to go enough considering how close it is. Have fun with the mil, I always hated open ended visits when my inlaws didn't live here. If I see itchy man this weekend I'll send your regards!

Angie 2 to 3 weeks is kind of long. Do you get along with her? I love my MIL but after about a week I'd be wanting her to leave. She lives less than a mile from me so we don't ever have those kinds of visiting issues.

Today is Kelsie's Prom. Exciting and busy day ahead of us. We are hosting a breakfast around midnight for her friends so I need to run out and buy everythng this morning when I pick up the boutonniere for her date. Yesterday she got her nails done and at 1:00 she has an appointment to get her hair fixed. She's still on the fence on how she wants it but she knows she wants it up. They are going before the prom to take pictures then to the lakefront and all the parents or at least the moms are meeting there to take fun pictures. Next it's out to dinner at Bonefish Grille then to Prom. Thank goodness the weather should be wonderful today.

Today we got the seperation agreement notorized so I am a seperated woman! Still living together though, cause we cant' afford to live apart till he gets a job!

Yeah, Judi, i still have to call the courthouse and see if it needs to be filed. Most people are saying they never filed theirs though.

I saw Shannon's kitchen, it looks beautiful! She has been slaving away and did a fabulous job!

Hey, Sassies! My computer has been sick, sick, sick - it's infected with a nasty virus that makes it act all wonky. So, for most of the past week it has been down and when I do catch it actually working I check my email and then it quits on me again. I am trying to convice Mr. FofP that a new computer is the best plan, but you know how men are, they need to think of it as their own idea. So, I am waiting.

Bonnie, glad to hear you have your separation worked out. How is the outlook for Brett's job hunt? Is he keeping his search just to the No. Va. area?

Tricia - Kelsie looks beautiful! Was this the Senior or the Junior prom?

Good Morning Sassies!

Busy weekend here and I'm really glad it's all over. Yes, Kelsie had a great time at Prom. She said they danced all night. After Prom that same group came over around midnight and Mark and I fixed breakfast for them. We had bacon and eggs, sausage, grits, biscuits, cinnamon rolls, donuts, grapes and pineapple. It really was fun for us to see how excited they all were. Yesterday I took a really long nap which is so unlike me because I'm not good at sleeping when the sun is out. . Back into the swing of things today.

Judi have you been blowing all that cold air down south? We are in the low 40's right now with wind gusts up to 30mph. Yesterday we were in the 80's.

Wilma I'm sorry you are having computer troubles. I hope you get everything fixed real soon.

I woke up yesterday with a sore throat. I have no other symptoms so I'm just waiting to see what happens.
