Still Sassy after all this time!

Hi Sassies. Sorry I haven't been around much, but things are hectic. We were in KY over the weekend for soccer tournament. Yep nothing better than sitting on the sidelines watching soccer in the freezing cold and snow and rain. Ok, so maybe the beer kept me warm!

My ex is being a pain. His name is Dennis and as Bonnie knows, these days we just replace the D with a P and drop an n when we refer to him! Although he has been non-existant for the most part in Kate's life he has decided to fight for custody with me so I guess the non-contested is right out the window!

I have a date tonight. Cross your fingers for me that (1) he doesn't rum screaming from the building when he sees me (2) that I don't randomly fall down or do anything else embarrassing for no apparent reason (3) that I don't snort while laughing and (4) that unlike Bonnie he DOES NOT try to grab the ta-tas!

That's the Monday squid update.

How is everyone else? Anyone flooded or snowed in?

Squiddy have fun on the date. Is this the first one? Sorry things aren't going so well with the ex. I hope he comes to his senses and straightens up.

I've got a pot of meat sauce cooking on the stove. It's started to smell very Italian like in my house. I keep sneeking the french bread I bought to go with it. I think the loaf will be very tiny when dinner rolls around tonight.

Tricia-- So sorry about your fundraising pain in the tuckus. I detest the necessary evils of fundraising!

For some reason (must be the switching of months) I thought my new counters were coming next week.... Just checked calendar, and yeah, they're coming TOMORROW!! That's great, b/c then they'll be done, but also scary, since I now have to bust butt to get everything cleared out of the kitchen!! I'll post pics when the dust has settled.
