Bumping this back to the top,
Missypie, did your daughter do the TAAF state meet yet?
Want to brag about my DD:
She did 3 mill circles in practice tonight herself![]()

It has been great going to practices these last few week, first she did her level 4 beam dismount herself, then it was the round off back handspring on the tumble track herself, Monday night was the stem rise during bar conditioning, tonight was a standing back handspring on one of the mats with nearly no spot, just the coach next to her, and then to finish it off the mill circle. We are getting very excited for level 4, also she will be going to Lake Owen this summer, I cannot wait to see what she does there.

Awhile back I posted about wanting to get DD a beam. Well we did and I have found out that it was money well spent. In the week that we got it, my DD has learned the level 4 dismount and can do it on the high beam at the gym. Last night she was the only 3/4 at practice and got to show the 2 optional girls that were there that she could do it. So she has gone from hating and fearing the beam to having all of her level 4 skills. Just needs to work on higher handstand tappers.
Also, last night at practice DD and the comp girls were doing fish and tap swings on the high bar while they were working on their bar rotation. The optional girls were taking their turn on the bars in rotation with the level 3/4 and 4/5, (but working on their giants, etc) I look over and see my DD waiting in between the 2 optional girls that were in the gym last night. One is level 10 and the other level 8 and both high school seniors, my DD is 1st grade and tiny for her age. 44 1/2 inches and 41 1/2 lbs. It was so neat to see the girls that were moving on, and my DD one of the younger girls in the gym together, especially since there are only 4 optional girls in the gym and 3 of them are graduating and the 4th is injured and it is not know if she will be able to return to the sport. So the girls in the gym that will be level 5 are going to be the big girls of the gym next year.
On another board that I go to someone posted this link to a really cool remember when type montage of gymnastics, and seeing my daughter's interaction with the optional girls made me think of it.
Even with DD just starting out, there are points to it that can already hit home.

Has anyone attended IGC Camp in PA? We went there to the open house today and it seemed wonderful. Just curious if anyone has any experience good or bad??
Great Meet Skyler!!!!!
On our front. DD split the beam the other day and knocked the wind out of her. Luckily she got right back up but it was her first really bad scare. NO major injuries but she is very sore and bruised.
