We did the Panama Canal Cruise in 2005 and enjoyed it so much that we booked again in 2008. The Disney cruises get better and better each year. I'm also presently out of full time employment, but my husband will make it happen...just "believe in the magic" and you'll be on it too.

Seems like we're living parallel Disney adventures, but like Star Trek TNG we're "out of phase" so we can't see each other

Ah, a fellow Trekie, Good to know it won't be only my mother and I who are Star Trek fans. I am so excited, I just ordered all seven seasons of Voyager on DVD, That gives me all Star Trek on DVD

Fishing... Disney Style

Wow! I can’t believe that the cruise is almost here! We’ve been counting down since January of 2007, even though we were anticipating it when it was announced. That’s over 400 days of waiting!

I have finally gotten over the horror of February 10th. For those of you who haven’t heard what happened on that fateful night, I suggest you bolt your doors, shush your spouse, pull your cats tail, and hang on for the ride!

The horror was so bad in fact that the government has forced Disney to change their website so that flashbacks don’t haunt repeat cruisers. If you’re ready…. Scroll down.

The horror! The horror!​

All right, so maybe it wasn’t that bad. But back then, it sure seemed like it! Jill asked me to tell her as soon as it was midnight, so she could jump on and book our excursions as soon as they were available. I promptly forgot about that and was watching TV when I realize that is was 12:03. AGAIN I SAY IT WAS 12:03!!! Jill, it’s 12:03!

She jumped into action (after throwing several pillows at my head. In my defense she can read a clock for her self. Am I right fellas? Anyone?) and pulled up the site. Outside the site it seemed pretty normal, but once you tried to log in the problems started. Most people on this cruise were repeat cruisers, so everyone it seemed was trying to book at once. Jill was switching back and forth between the Disney page (which was permanently stuck in fish mode) and the cruise meeting thread.

Someone on the thread would post that they could book something, and then screams rose across the world as those who sat starring at fish cursed the good luck of their cruise mates. Eventually (after a couple of hours of sitting there trying and trying again) we got everything booked. Here’s what we’ll be doing:

Castaway Cay: Eco-tour on jet skis.
Aruba: Sea & See Island Tour
Acapulco: Highlights, Shopping, and Cliff Divers
Puerto Vallarta: Sea park (swimming with a sea lion) (not through Disney)
Cabo San Lucas: Canyon Canopy Adventure

We also got a Palo dinner reservation and Jill is getting a stone massage. We weren’t able to book a Palo brunch, but we’ll be joining a group for brunch in the private dining room.

Well there you have it. With only 2 weeks to go, we’ve got to get to packing but that’s a different matter all together.

Don't worry, your desert is somewhat safe in the vicinity of my person, but only if the moon is ¾ full and the waves are not exceeding a height of 12.76 inches.
