Staying off site this time, so I have questions.

We will be staying off site this time around. We are staying at the Parkway International Resort (close to Celebration). We will be going to Epcot for the wine, food and music festival. Any reviews on the accommodations? Any suggestions on great restaurants (not chains)? We love little mom and pop places. We know the Oktoberfest is in Orlando and Tampa Bay is going on as well, any reviews?

You might want to check the Orlando Hotels and Attractions forum. They may have a better handle on what is in that area.

You can also check reviews on TripAdvisor .com. Often reviews also contain suggestions for local restaurants.

We are fans of Cafe TuTu Tango. You can check out their website online and join their email list - they often send coupons. love the Sangria's, salmon sliders, steak skewers...yum!

To be honest, there really aren't many mom and pop sort of places in Orlando. What we do is eat at chains we don't have in our area. There are better chain choices than others! I agree with checking out the Orlando area of the boards, they can offer more advice.
