Staying at the Poly with DVC

Can someone tell how many points it would cost to stay at the poly. For example 7 days during Easter. December 10th 2009 for seven nights.

The short answer? A LOT!

I don't have the 2009 chart for non-DVC Disney resorts, but according to the 2008 chart, it's 55 points per night (PPN) for weekdays and 98 PPN for weekends for 2008 Easter week in a garden view room. For the December trip, the 2008 point level is 41 PPN for weekdays and 74 PPN for weekends, again in a garden view room.

Are you asking for two different time? Easter 2009 and Dec 2009? Poly GV from April 12 -18 (7 nights) would be 517 points. Dec. 10-16 Poly GV would be 328. HTH

I just looked at the Poly charts for 2008 -- for Dec 10-17, those are all value season dates, weekdays say 37 points per night and weekends are 67 points (garden view). I think you looked at the column for the Grand Floridian. I got the chart from dvcmember.com -- it's the same chart you see in the DVC Dreams book.

Not that those small differences really matter, do they? I totaled that up to 319 points if I added correctly.

$95 fee too since it is non-DVC resort reservation (as per current pricing - don't know if that will increase in 2009). You may be able to secure a better deal by renting out points you'd use for this reservation & put that $ towards paying cash for your reservation by purchasing an AP using DVC member discount and then trying to book Polynesian with AP discount (subject to availability of course but you can probably find out here on these boards what that discount has been in previous years during travel times you'd want).
