Still no reply... typical!! So what you gonna do?!

Our rep last year was called Stephen. He was OK but was the worst Virgin rep we've ever had - not saying he was bad but he wasn't THAT helpful. Had better experiences with the ones we had in Orlando. Maybe because they were American and this guy was English?! Kinda putting us down there aren't I? Lol. But the Americans are more helpful. We actually spotted the rep we had on our first trip in 1997 at our hotel in 2001. My Mum spotted her and said hello. She actually remembered all our names! It was unbelievable. That's how good some reps are at their jobs.

We kind of had two reps last year though. One Virgin one and then one Hyatt one. Well, she worked on the concierge desk at the hotel so wasn't a rep but she always seemed to deal with us and was unbelievably helpful!! Her name was Pamela and she helped us out sooo much with directions and maps and hints and tips.

And OMG, A&E?! What on earth happened?? :worried:

Hi Simba,
Andrea was English, but very nice. The time before we had one called Ron and he just kept insisting on us doing all these trips and he booked them for us and we spent the fist week doing all the trips and the second week at Disney, siad he couldn't do the trips on the second week as it was Thanksgiving week. Andrea said he's no longer doing the rep job as he was just too pushy with the trips!!!
I ended up at A&E with a suspected broken foot, came back from our trip to Vegas and was in the bathroom doing the washing and came back into the bedroom and went to climb into bed from the bottom of the bed (usually got in at the side) as I came out of the bathroom and the valance was covering a bit of metal sticking out from under the bed and of course I hit my foot on it!!!.
Spent a very painful night before telling the hotel in the morning what had happened, by this time my foot was blue so they paid a taxi to and from the hospital to get it checked out, but it was just badly bruised.
They couldn't apologise enough and gave us a free meal in the California Grill and for the rest of the holiday, I had no limit on the amount of travellers cheques I wanted to cash and I only had to walk up to the desk and they were there seeing to whatever I wanted...lol. Scared I would sue them, but I wouldn't do that, accidents happen. They took photos of the bed, the bit of metal and my foot...lol, it was a man named Brian and he was so nice and very apologetic...lol.

Sorry to hear that!! I can't imagine anything worse than ending up at the hospital on your holiday!! It's never happened to us and fingers crossed
never will. Glad to hear the staff at the Hyatt made the rest of your stay as good as could be. ;)

So did you book today? I checked this morning and the 15% discount is active. I couldn't resist checking how much we would have got off and whether what we booked was still available. Turns out it is still available (why wouldn't it be, the HGI is no Hyatt!!) and it would have been £4521 instead of £4806. Of course I'm a little disappointed that we could have waited another few weeks and saved three-hundred quid but hey. At the time we felt we had to book to be sure we'd get our second choice hotel.

So, what's the latest on your plans then?

Hope you and your family had a great day!!!! :) We sure did!! :goodvibes

Hi Simbe,
Merry Christmas!!!
Yes we booked but not the HGI as the breakfast was not available so we have gone for The Coast Hotel and as we are saving some money, we have added another day so we are going for 18 nights now.
 :Pinkbounc :bounce: :cheer2: :jumping1:
Am I excited????...no not at all...lol.
Love Ella
