starting to get concerned about the rain

O.K., so we'll be there in a few days . . . and I know WDW is magical no matter what . . . but the extended forecast is starting to worry me a little. I understand that this is a long range forecast, and can change very easily, but I still would like nice weather for our trip.

Any of you veterans . . . when you have checked out long range forecasts for your trips (and you know you have!), how accurate have they been? And in regard to percentages, if there is only a 30% chance of rain, are we pretty safe? I don't mind a few showers to keep some of the crowds away, but I don't want to walk around all day with wet socks and underwear, either!

Help!

Looks like we are in the same boat... you know, the one we will be baling!

Good heavens its supposed to rain a lot down there.

The good news being that we go every year in Feb. and every year it is supposed to rain the whole time. Thus far, it hasnt. When it does rain it is usually a quick cloud burst in the afternoon and then it clears up and turns into a beautiful day!

Ill be keeping my fingers crossed for you and good weather!

Have a wonderful trip either way!

:sunny: :sunny: :sunny: Here's for lots of sunshine for us both!

I've found that long range forecasts are almost never accurate. Not even just in Florida, but everywhere. I don't trust the weather until the day before...

I, too, am trying to ignore the rainy forecast. We will be there on Monday and according to weather.com it's supposed to rain everyday with a 60% chance of rain Wednesday (our MK day!) and Thursday (MGM and Epcot).

I guess since there is absolutely nothing we can do about it, there is no sense in worrying.

I have found that extended forecasts for Florida change a lot as days go by, so I don't usually get too interested until just a day or two before I'm leaving.

I've also found that weather.com tends to have more gloomy extended forecasts for down there than accuweather.com. Makes me wonder why they're so different quite often. If you haven't tried accuweather.com, give it a try. They will even give a 15-day extended forecast, which of course is even more unsure than a 10-day one. :p

Good luck to all of us getting ready to go down to WDW. Let's pray for sunshine! :sunny:

Our bad rain experience was trying to do Epcot World Showcase in the pouring rain. I would NEVER do that again. Most of the fun things in World Showcase are outside, and didn't happen the day we were there in the rain. We should have stuck with Future World that day.
We later went back on a sunny day and did the WS and it was great!
