I was killing myself, trying to think of something good to give our 9 year-old daughter this year. Wracking my brains and coming up with no good ideas.
I was watching tv a couple months back, one of the shows had a child with autism as a character that week. My DH mentioned how I should have someone invent a digital media storage device to take the place of the notebooks...Click.
Last year, I'd bought a couple of discontinued toys called JuiceBox. Silly little thing that played special music videos or cartoon episodes, or you could even load you own content onto them. Click.
Cleaning up today, I found the spare toy and cord. Also found a memory card for it. Click-ity-click.
The wheels in my head turned so fast, I can still smell the smoke.
I've been snapping pictures of everything Katie likes, plus a few extras like "home" with our address, and "mom's phone" with my cell phone number on it. (I have also been photoshopping text onto the pics.) Still oodles of room for more...
I am giving her the ability to tell us what she wants...which, ironically enough, is what I really want.
I am so excited about this year now!
So, anyone else have any stories of "the perfect gift" they'd like to share? Doesn't even have to be from this year, so as not to spoil any upcoming surprises...
