I have been in my new home almost a year now. So I am almost finished all of my Spring Cleaning. Wow, my house is really looking good now. I want it all finished before the weather breaks and I take my vacation. This Spring we have to all the landscaping on our new home. Was wondering if anyone else is doing their's?

You can come do my house:p I'm still waiting for the cleaning fairy to show up and get started!! Actually I have done a few things. I really need to clean out all the old toys in the basement and get Nick's play area set up. Also sorting through the huge amount of clothing we have.

I was thinking of doing some since we have had such great weather lately... until......

**MORE SNOW!!!***

How cruel is that? 65 and sunny one day, snow the next! Is Mother Nature PMSing?

you want to come and do mine??? Since I have to take a week off before May this year, I am taking the kids spring break off and we are going to re-do their bedrooms, new paint and border and re-do the bathroom and stairwell. I just hope we get it all done!!

UGH wish I had a maid <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_2_8.gif' border=0></a>

I have definately started. As I posted a few days ago, I got a new carpet cleaning to do all my rugs with. I also bought slip covers for my furniture in nice bright spring colors. I am also going to put up lighter curtains in the living room and dining room. I haven't found the ones I want yet. I also shop at the dollar store for little spring figurines of bunnies and flowers to put out all around my house. We are going to Orlando next weekend so I am looking for a few things there to brighten up my house too. I love the Spring!

Yep! I have been Spring Cleaning for 2 months. We have "Cleaned Sweeped" the bedrooms (emptying, decluttering & painting).

I am gearing up for a "super clean sweep" garage sale in a couple of weeks.

MM, I love that show---and kudos for you for getting it done! I'm always inspired to de-clutter when I watch it....of course, never enough to actually *do* it. LOL I find it gratifying to watch if only because it makes me feel better about my always-less cluttered house than the ones they feature. :teeth:

I may do some spring cleaning this weekend. No kids, SO has plans, I'll be home alone....

Who am I kidding. I'll probably do the dishes, and then read a novel.

I started mine too--called yesterday and arranged a day for theservice to come. Now I have to pack up my knickknacks I don't want possibly broken (they are insured but some things are not replaceable). I also have to straighten up and go through things in closets and stuff.

I volunteered to have Easter at my house this year. My family on Saturday and DH's family on Sunday. Nothing like a visit from the in-laws to motivate you to clean!! But I made myself a 20+ item "to do" list I have to finish before the actual cleaning begins (touch up painting, new curtains, maybe new flooring in kitchen). I'm about half way through the list...............P

Of course, if I don't get off my behind and stop reading the Disboards, the list is NEVER gonna get done!.....P:p

I'm starting to THINK about it at least!! :teeth:

DH is going to be out of town a few days next week, and the entire week following that, so I plan to dig in and get some things done. I should make a "to do" list this week.

I've been trying to get stuff organized and filed....so I can start a new mess! Also having thoughts about spring cleaning in the rest of the house. Also having thoughts about excersizing, but my butt's still sitting here on the DIS!

As we just got done putting tile thru out the WHOLE house, now I have to unpack the boxes and put away or Throw away! I start back to work Monday, hope I get done.

An appraiser came today to do an appraisal for a refinance. Could you see the dust flying from your house? I'm glad that's over.

Lori

I have been doing my share of spring cleaning and yardwork too. Filled two bags of junk from the kids room two days ago and their room is actually tidy for the first time in months!

I tidied my office a couple of weeks ago and have been ebaying stuff I found & forgot I had like crazy and making some $$ on the side...

Today I went to Home Depot and bought lawn fertilizer, grass seed and dirt and spent an hour digging and weeding in the front yard. this is my first Spring since we bought the house 7 years ago that I haven't had to work, so it's really my goal to have not only our house in decent shape, but our yard kept up too. I ordered a whole bedding "kit" from Springhill Farms or whatever that catalog is called- I have this bed in my front yard that I always struggle with and don't know what to plant...this is the ready made kit with easy care flowers, how to lay them out, and they're perennials, so I won't spend as much on annuals year after year (although I will still have to get *some* of course!).
