Stars at WDW

About 10 years ago we were walking out of Beach Club towards the International Gate to Epcot and saw Joey Fatone. I didn't know him. If it wasn't for this teenage girl going up to him and asking for an autograph I wouldn't have given him a second look. This was before he did Dancing with the Stars and the spelling bee show (???) and after he was a N-synx guy.

In October of 2006 at Hollywood Studios we saw Barry Bonds. In December of 2007(I think) we saw Celine Dion walking past us outside of the Plaza Restaurant at the Magic Kingdom.

bbb37...sorry but not as impressed with MJ as you are. Maybe if it had been Michael Jordan but no Michael Jackson. He was a little freaky. Just my opinion though.

Me and my best friend met the deadliest catch gang. But we knew they were going to be there.

A few years before that my dad bumped into the famous boxer who got his ear bitten off by Tyson. I can't remember his name.

Was it Evander Holyfield?

Jones & Demi Lavato had a large crowd of gawking kids following them everywhere. We avoided whatever ride they were near.

Haha, I promise you, I was not apart of that group, I stayed in DHS that morning then made the hop to Epcot. Where I then found the stage and plopped down as close as possible. (That group following them all day found me, and my fantastic spot.) I was able to hear them sing and kinda see them. It was a nice extra touch of magic. Haha.

We've seen Carrie Underwood and Wayne Brady at MK.

When I was 14, I saw Charlotte Rae (Facts of Life/Mrs. Garrett) at DHS.

We saw James Worthy (basketball player) at AKL. My DH stopped dead in his tracks when he saw him. I had no clue, but DH was thrilled.

Never seen anyone famous but then I don't look.... I would probably be on a ride with someone and not even notice.

We saw "someone", but I have no idea who it was! It was the 1st week of December last year and we were back in Toon Town. There was some dark haired guy, decent looking, maybe in his 30s or 40s, that had several people around him and he was signing autographs. I have absolutely no clue who he was. I thought maybe he was there for the Christmas parade taping and we would figure out who he was when we watched it, but I never saw him when we watched it.

This reminds me of when I went to Vegas. There was a couple sitting on the wall in front of our hotel. My friends and I were trying to squeeze in for a picture...of us not them. The guy went over to my friend and put his hand on the lense and told us that they went there for a vacation not to be bothered by fans. Not one of us knew who he was. We were in our early 20's and he was pretty handsome so I figured if he was famous we would have known him.

That is totally how I am. I get into my own little world, and all kinds of famous people could blow by me without me ever noticing:)

I am into the celebrity gossip, and due to threads like these I have found how often celebrities visit WDW. I always keep a eye out for familiar faces. :) Mariah Carey was hard miss, she had disney people all over her taking her down into the smoking area of tommorowland terrace for Wishes. Especially after they made a big deal about how we were not allowed to go down there and had it blocked with a rope. Lets just say she didn't stay for all of the fireworks. There was no way she was going to make it out of there after everyone figured out who she was.

Sometime in the mid 80's we saw Marie Osmond at Disneyland. It was New Years Eve and she was the headline entertainment appearing on Tom Sawyer Island stage.

What was odd was that the park was DEAD the entire day and night when New Years Eve is normally one of the busiest days of the year. We happen to be driving in the area and noticed all the hotels around Disneyland had vacancy signs lit up the day before. So we decided to go and I've never seen Disneyland so dead especially on a holiday night.

We saw Tina Fey with her husband and daughter coming out of the Monsters Inc Laugh Floor at MK when we were there in April. They caught my attention because they had a guide with them. If I were a celebrity I would not want that plaid vested person making me more noticeable!

My dad saw Pat Riley at the Beach Club Marketplace about 15 years ago. :goodvibes

we were dining in japan last year (f&w fest time), right up against the big giant windows. coming up the stairs...the side ones, not the ones in front where the shops are, and this big guy, white beard and coral shirt came strolling by and i about screamed OMG it's michael...LOOK it's PAULA DEEN! she was with her son jamie and his little boy.

we were just about finished eating when i made my hubby go change my son... FYI there are no diaper changers in the men's room in japan.

so that left my mom and i to go on our own to the bathroom. well i come out and hubby goes, oh, you're boyfriend is in there...wait here. LOL hubby was a little jealous how i was drooling over jamie.

hubby snapped this...

we were still waiting for my mom when paula comes out from a back room and i got this...

paula was almost out the door when my mom finally got to meet her. she was just in awe...we love paula!

she was pretty well incognito...her hubby totally gave her away!

we also saw joey fatone at the food and wine fest eating. and then we hopped over to MK and saw buzz aldrin at the parade. most celebs we've seen ever at wdw.

Over the years I have seen Drew Carey at AK Danny Glover at DTD and Cat Cora when her restaurant opened..since Elvis Presley died everyone else is just ..well...another person ;)

OK have to admit I would have loved to meet Paula Deen lucky you pp !

I've only been to Disney three times in my life, so I've had a limited window to see celebs, but my family rode down a Grand Floridian elevator with former Washington Redskin / Pro Football HOF'er Darrell Green and his family.
