Star Wars Weekends ??

Yes. There is the Star Wars parade (if I remember correctly) it runs from the area at the park entrance back toward Star Tours and the cast fill the Jedi Training Academy stage.

Then the regular parade will run at it's scheduled time during the day.

Thanks. Do you remember what time it was last year?

Ok, so a good touring plan for us who want to ride attractions, get pictures with some of the characters and see both parades (not do any shopping or stand in long lines for actor/special guest autographs):

Be at entrance 30 minutes before opening.
Ride TSM :3dglasses
Spend a couple hours around SW activities including Jedi Training, SW parade, and autographs/photos with characters. :darth: :yoda: :ewok: :chewy:
Grab lunch and watch Indiana
Head back to room (grabbing FP for ToT on way out)
Return to park by 2:30 to watch afternoon parade (maybe grabbing FP for RNR before parade starts)
Ride TOT and RNR
Head to back of park for Stunt, Backlot tour,
see anything else we missed or want to do again

What do you think? or is it important to get the the star wars area first and do TSM later? :confused3

On the website that someone posted earlier, they said that your child HAD to be in line with you to get a wrist band to participate in the Padawan Mind Challenge - is that not the case?

I'd like for me & DS (the major SW freaks) to hurry ahead to the SW stuff while DH (the minor SW freak) signs DS up for the PMC.

Last year they directed us to a line for the Padawan Mind Challenge. They take the names and put them on a list and tell you when and where to report back too. They did not give them the arm bands until we checked back in. I think the arm bands are just to make sure no other kids join the line. About 5 minutes or so before the scheduled event they line the kids up and march them over to the stage where they have the Jedi Training Academy. They take a certain number and a few alternates are told to report back as well in case someone doesn't show. Last year the sign in table was right outside the building that had the Sounds Dangerous show....sorry, don't remember the name.

The parade was at 11:40 AM last year. Your plan should work out okay. We didn't really do rides other than a couple of trips on Star Tours but we had set that day aside as the SWW day any way. We were there an hour before opening.....went straight to sign up for the Padawan Mind Challenge (DH & DS rode Star Tours - 5 minute wait) saw lots and lots of characters for pictures. We were in Pizza Planet and the first people in line when they opened the registers. Ate lunch and then went back and found a spot for the parade. The rest of the day was Star Wars stuff. We did end up going to see Fantasmic that night but I don't think it is showing on the weekends this year.

Where are the characters located? (Not the real actors, but Jedi Mickey, etc.)

This is where we found them last year:

If you are facing the ABC Commisary.......the end fartherst to the right.....there are some little tables right there in the shade......that is where the line was, the were right around from there. There was a scene (looked like one of the inside corridors of a ship) that they are in front of. They rotate one character about every 15 minutes or so, we went through twice to get Mickey & Minnie....couldn't ever time it right to get Donald & Goofy.

Thank you. We are arriving on SAt. the 13th of June and I was thinking we would go straight there. But, we may not get there until after lunch , so we may have to go for a full day of this on Sunday the 14th. I don't want to miss the parade at 11:30.

We are arriving the same time as you and also probably hitting DHS on Sunday. It's kind of against my better judgement but my DH really wants to see the Star Wars stuff. If it gets too crowded, we're outta there though...after the parade!
