Same here.... all the on-ship leisure activities were removed for me. The must-do's are still there: dinner, muster.... and DHS activity Oga reservation remains.
I'm seeing even more changes- lots of previously listed activities are gone. I'm 34 days out, though, so maybe the schedule will be more formalized in the next few days. More likely, however, is that we're in a fluid state until the first cruise, and probably after that, albeit at a slower rate of change.
This is a serious, but petty question. Does Disney change the name tags for their CMs at other resorts?
Some CMs in Batuu have their names written in Aurebesh. The College Program CMs have their college names in place of hometown. I can't think of other exceptions but would not be surprised if there are. This is a serious, but petty question. Does Disney change the name tags for their CMs at other resorts?
I've never seen a name tag other than the traditional white oval. And, I'm aware of the rare Legacy name tag that is blue. I thought every employee gets the same name tag, Bob Chapek on down. First name. Hometown. Am I mistaken?
Playing devil's advocate... The FAQ does not state that "direct transportation" will be provided. There are several cases I can think of where the "included Disney transportation" includes a transfer somewhere (i.e, not direct transportation). I know on several of my stays, we had to transfer to get from our resort to Blizzard Beach, for example.<snip>
If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel before or after your Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser voyage, transportation to or from your Disney Resort hotel is also included.
The above is from the FAQ on the website for the Starcruiser. To me it sounds pretty clear that direct transportation to/from a Disney resort is provided. If that is not the case I hope they give everyone plenty of advance notice!!
Looks like they made a headache for themselves with that copy. The main page for Disney says you might have to transfer etc. I'm not sure how they'd run around doing direct resort to resort day of, for both coming and going guests (they never seem that organized), but I can also see where that is what they literally implied and have up. Another unforced situation and potentially unhappy and confused guests.Q.
Where do I go to start my Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser adventure on my voyage departure date?
A.

There is no pool. What kind of amenities will the resort have? Will it have cruise ships pools?
If there is no pool, is there a fitness center? There is no pool.
I have heard that lightsaber training is a good cardio/upper body workout. If there is no pool, is there a fitness center?
During my test cruise we were given a small button that had the Chandrila star line logo on it and said Halycon Starcruiser too. A couple of galaxy edge CMs noticed and asked us about our stay. When I spoke to the CM during booking, she mentioned that guests would have something that visually designated them as cruise guests to the Batuu CMs (she referred to it as a “token” but said it hadn’t been finalized yet). Could just be an exclusive print on a Magicband, but it would make sense if it was a special version of the new band.
I don't think you're alone in feeling anxiety- there is a lot of moving parts! I think of this as a good thing, though. I'd rather there be flexibility around making it a great experience. I have spoken at length with some of the CM about their experiences during the testing phase and uniformly they have said it's unlike anything Disney has ever done. Being ambitious means taking risks and maybe we're all feeling that a bit.
On a less philosophical note, the last CM I spoke with assured me that the itinerary hasn't changed but what is being shown has for now.
I can understand how you are feeling! And I don't think you are being negative at all. I reached my P.I.F. date last week... I had to take a couple of deep breaths before clicking "send" on the payment instructions to my travel agent, that's for sure.I don’t know why but I am getting very anxious about our trip! There will be 9 voyages completed by the time we have to pay in full or cancel and I am on pins and needles waiting for the first reviews for this VERY EXPENSIVE experience. I can’t put my finger on the exact reason I am getting more hesitant but the uncertainty around transportation, ship activities changing or disappearing from itineraries for those departing soon, box trucks taking us to and from GE (air quality?) and I think the fact that they made it seem like such a huge and special perk to get a LL for RoTR and MF. IDK but it all feels much less than original scope that set my expectations at least. I very much hope to be proven wrong and that the paying customers are blown away when it comes down to it! Sorry, I don’t mean to be negative. Just feeling a bit of pressure for our first trip back to WDW since 2019 and not having yet experienced GE yet at all!
