Star Wars Galactic Spectacular from outside park?

We missed most of our already short trip due to NE weekend weather. Arrived late last night, dinner at Jiko tonight, no park visits, but would love to see fireworks from afar (outside the park) if possible. Can you see any of the show from outside the turnstiles? I know we have seen fireworks from outside HS twice by serendipity, when park hopping and returning to our car parked at HS.
Just trying to add a little magic to a 48 hour visit.

Seeing them inside the park is absolutely INCREDIBLE. I don’t know that you could appreciate it as much from outside the park.

They fireworks portion can definitely be seen from outside the park. I've actually only ever watched them from Pop Century. Since they can be seen from Pop I'd assume the can also be seen from right outside HS. You will lose the laser effects though and I'm not sure that they pipe in the music anywhere like they do MK fireworks.

Actually, there's a map for that. ;)

Views of the higher-flying Star Wars fireworks at DHS can be seen along the plum-colored pathway inside the area that I shaded in green on the map below.
(However... the show is now SO MUCH MORE than just "fireworks" that viewing the show from anywhere but the central area in front of the Great Movie Ride/Chinese Theater can be very disappointing.)

A couple of Fridays ago I decided to make the walk from BWI to HS 5 minutes too late and didn’t get in in time (poor last minute planning on my part). I watched from the plaza area out front.

Couple of thoughts...

- You can kind of hear the audio, but not particularly well. They turn off the BGM that normally plays here, but they don’t really replace it with the show audio (or at least not at a materially loud volume).
- I have not seen this version of the show in person in the park so not sure what goes on with the projections, but it must be a lot since there were serious gaps in the fireworks - felt like I was missing a TON of the show from here.

Some pics...

And one from the walking path back...(it was such a bad show from out front I started walking back early)....

You'll be able to see the fireworks...it won't be a good view and you'll be missing majority of the show. But some fireworks are better than no fireworks

Really, I'm taken aback by this revelation.
you'll be missing majority of the show.
So true. Even if you're in the park, unless you're between or in front of the twin projection towers, you'll still miss a good chunk of the show. It has a very limited viewing area.

Hollywood Blvd is usually full of people thinking that like previous fireworks shows, they will get a good view of SWaGS, they will be disappointed. SWaGS is predominately a projection, laser, and low level pyro & flame show.

The one thing I regret about our trip is not sticking around long enough in HS for this show as I've only recently watched and fallen in love with Star Wars. I'm going to guess it or something similar will be sticking around for a while with Galaxy's Edge opening next year, so maybe next time!
