Star Struck.. Famous Disney Cruisers?

Well, since term limits prevent the really stupid one from running again, that may be a safe option.

Anyone else sailed with a celeb? My MIL would die if she was on a cruise with someone famous. Gary Senise and his family were in the booth next to us at Hard Rock Cafe, CityWalk and she almost had a heart attack.

As far as Slash was concerned, I'm not surprised that he wasn't extremely friendly and probably grumpy. But being a GNR fan, I would just like the opportunity to look at him from the distance. You know, just a sneaky peak!!!! Why bother him? He was with his family just like everyone else. But it would be cool to say I cruised with Slash!

THANK YOU! I was really enjoying reading this thread until the "Bush Slamming" started. Whether I voted for him or not or whether I would vote for him again is personal and I choose to keep it personal. I am the director of education at a post secondary education facility and my students have direct contact with guests from the community every day. I always enforce the "NO SEX< POLITICS< RELIGION TALK" in the building. These are three subjects that can easily start debates , fights or even get feelings hurt. I love the DISBoards and feel like we are all one big Disney loving community. Let's not fight or hurt feelings, okay!

Well, my famous person encounter wasn't on a dcl cruise. Over Thanksgiving we went to St. Lucia. On our flight back, we had a connection in Puerto Rico. We got off, walked to the luggage carousel, and standing there right next to me was Cameron Matthison (All My Children & Dancing with the Stars) hunk! Of course, I looked like crap (no makeup). ha ha. He was with his wife and 2 kids. One son kept trying to climb up on the luggage carousel. That son had a cute little shark stuffed animal. I don't know where they vacationed, but Cameron set off the sensors when we went through security to get on our connecting flights as he got the serious pat down if you know what I mean! ha ha. He was just as handsome in person as he is on tv!

that's totally what I did, I love GNR and I was so happy just to see him from far away, although he was in my dining rotation lol so that wasn't really far away

Oh My Goodness! I think I would have fallen over if I ran into Slash, George Bush Sr. & Jeb, Micheal Eisner, or Roy Disney on the cruise! I have to secretly admit that I love Slash and knowing that he's cruised Disney makes him even cooler in my book. I wonder if he thought CC was Paradise City???

Yes...she is. They were both at our house over the Christmas holidays when she brought him back East for a visit. She is very mature and has a good head on her shoulders and he is a perfect gentlemen and a very nice guy. She has been a family friend for years and we are very happy for her. DD went to school with her when she was in public school and DD has been out to LA several times to visit Hayden now that her career made it more practical to live in LA....but she does come back to visit when she can. I keep trying to get her to come with us on a Disney Cruise....!!!

I was on the DVC cruise in Oct of 2006. Jody Benson and Jennifer Hudson were there. Jody was nice when I said hi. When my boyfriend and I were heading back to our room we ran into Jennifer Hudson and her boyfriend by the elevator. She asked me to take a photo of her and her boyfriend (mind you, this is pre-Dream Girls, post American Idol - my boyfriend knew who she was, I didn't really, and he knew of the movie coming out and said, "Oh, you'll know who she is soon enough!) and my boyfriend said, "Oh, Mikkel's a scrapbooker, she'll get a great photo for you guys." And Jennifer said, "Oh me too!" She seemed like a doll!

Roy Disney was there solo as a guest speaker.

We just got back from a trip to London to visit DD who is doing a semester there and at Heathrow airport we saw Sharon Osbourne...she was just walking through the terminal with her friend and no one was bothering her....people knew it was her but left her alone. She seemed to appreicate it.
