Star Struck.. Famous Disney Cruisers?

big GNR fan, however shocked that Slash would mingle with the mouse lol, unless he had kids with him

if i were a celeb i'd be hesitant to cruise "mainstream"; not much room to hide from adoring fans when you're laid out in a deck chair;)

He did have kids - wife, nanny, and two kids with him. I think most people left him alone, except for a few. He was really funny and nice when my then-3-year old ran into him on the stairs and couldn't speak when he looked up a saw the bandana, the glasses, the big earrings, and the tattoos! Anyway - he had video camera in hand on pirate night (and he fit right in - didn't even have to dress up much) filming the family, just like everyone else.

Slash on the cruise was the best, I just took a picture of him from far away, I'd never bug any famous person on a cruise. Well except maybe Jeff Kummer but that is a whole different story he would prob go up to other people lol

George Bush senior and Jed Bush were on the Magic with me back in December of... '03, I think it was. It was the week after Christmas. I only saw them briefly throughout the cruise.

very :cool1: ; thanks for sharing your story - guess appearances/private persona can be way different from what fans expect.:thumbsup2

I have to ask the obvious question...

Did Roy Disney stay in the Roy Suite? :)

He was there for his sons birthday. They have a photo of it in his biography at the end. :thumbsup2

Slash from Guns N Roses was on our August 2006 cruise.

that is just funny to think about...i guess you get an image of a famous person in your head...and my image of him was not one to be seen on a disney cruise. that is cool though to hear that he was there with his kids and family and having fun like the rest of us would.

On the 2005 EB repo.... no he did not. We know the family that was in the Roy suite during that cruise. He wasn't on board for the entire cruise. I think he flew home when we stopped in Curacao.

Oh My Goodness! I think I would have fallen over if I ran into Slash, George Bush Sr. & Jeb, Micheal Eisner, or Roy Disney on the cruise! I have to secretly admit that I love Slash and knowing that he's cruised Disney makes him even cooler in my book. I wonder if he thought CC was Paradise City??? ;)

From what I've heard on these boards, Slash wasn't the nicest person. I guess I can understand not wanting anyone to bother you while on a family vacation. Wearing a hat that had the F word on it for all the kids to see was not a good move though.

I can't believe I missed Jeb! I'm a huge fan! Wierd...I know, can't help it!:lmao:
I always liked Jeb too...thought he did a great job (except for the Shiavo fiasco) when he was governor down here. Shame that he was the one who obviously got all the brains in that family.

As for celebrity's, the only ones I've met on a cruise were Roger Ebert and Richard Roper when they were part of the Film Festival at Sea a few years back.

I love Jeb, too. I wish he was president instead of his brother...
Too bad his brother ruined Jeb's chances of ever becoming president. Who is going to vote for another Bush???

I know, I know off topic.....:rolleyes1

This last May we cruised with Jeremy Suarez (?) (the voice of Koda in Brother Bear and on The Bernie Mac Show)
He hung out with my son throughout a lot of the cruise. Incredibly nice kid, but I chuckled talking with him because he still sounds so much like Koda! :lmao:

On our first cruise in 2002, we sailed with Joe Namath - really nice and didn;t mind chatting, and John Lassiter, also very nice and willing to talk.
On the EB Panama in 2005, in addition to Susan Egan (best show), Roy Disney and Joey Fatone, Marc Curry was on board (Hangin with Mr Cooper).

I'll vote for another Bush in a heart beat:thumbsup2
