Star Struck.. Famous Disney Cruisers?

IMO...I would never ask any celeb for an autograph/picture if I knew for sure that they were on a family or personal vacation...that's just me.

Just wondering what anyone else thinks?

Yes...she is. They were both at our house over the Christmas holidays when she brought him back East for a visit. She is very mature and has a good head on her shoulders and he is a perfect gentlemen and a very nice guy. She has been a family friend for years and we are very happy for her. DD went to school with her when she was in public school and DD has been out to LA several times to visit Hayden now that her career made it more practical to live in LA....but she does come back to visit when she can. I keep trying to get her to come with us on a Disney Cruise....!!!

On the December 2003 Eastern Cruise we had Paige Davis (Host of Trading Spaces)and Patrick Davis (From the Broadway production of The Lion King). DW and I sat right next to them at Topsiders Buffet right after we baorded the ship.

Paige was so nice, and I even have a photo of myself with her at Topsiders. She was always in a good mood and signed autographs and took pictures. We saw her again on the Tender in St. Maarten, and again when she was signing her book in front of the Walt Disney Theater. Patrick was kind of a snobbish, stuck-up ****** (sorry for the word, just didn't know how to say it nicely).

At Topsiders, as soon as Patirck arrived, he very sternly told the 3 or 4 people getting Paige's autograph to leave. Paige said that she was going to finish these autographs, and then thanked everyone. She did lean over to Patrick and kind of scold him for being so mean.

Then at the book signing, the line was soo long, and everyone lined up on Paige's side of the table, and once they got her autograph, slid down the table and reluctantly got Patrick's.... LOL

Also, there was a Q&A with both of them and about 8 out of 10 questiosn were for Paige and Trading Spaces. LOL.

Michael "Pinball" Clemons, the CEO of the Toronto Argonauts, was on the March 8th eastern on the Magic!

I was on the DVC cruise in Oct of 2006. Jody Benson and Jennifer Hudson were there. Jody was nice when I said hi. When my boyfriend and I were heading back to our room we ran into Jennifer Hudson and her boyfriend by the elevator. She asked me to take a photo of her and her boyfriend (mind you, this is pre-Dream Girls, post American Idol - my boyfriend knew who she was, I didn't really, and he knew of the movie coming out and said, "Oh, you'll know who she is soon enough!) and my boyfriend said, "Oh, Mikkel's a scrapbooker, she'll get a great photo for you guys." And Jennifer said, "Oh me too!" She seemed like a doll!

Roy Disney was there solo as a guest speaker.

On the Magic last month Christian (cruise director) asked a trivia question about what actress had starred on DCL (I don't remember which show) and went on to become an award winning actress in Hollywood. It was Jennifer Hudson.:)

Both of the "celebrities" on my crusies have been Broadway stars. Which makes me happy... XD (yay theatre geeks!)

On my July '01 Magic cruise, Sarah Litzsinger was on it. She played Belle in Beauty and the Beast on Broadway for a few years. I actually saw her as Belle when I saw BatB in Dec '01, and talked with her at the stage door afterwards all about the cruise!

On my July '05 West Coast Magic, Tom Alan Robbins was on it. He originated Pumbaa in Lion King on Broadway, and was still playing Pumbaa! (He was in the cast from original to this past December). It was fun, him and one of the musical cast members performed Hakuna Matata, and picked a random kid from the audience to be Simba. :)

Well, also not on DCL, but I met James Woods. His mother lived near my mother in Florida, and he was visiting. I was visiting with my 9 month old daughter (now almost 10 years old!). He was super nice, intelligent, friendly. He and his mom held my daughter, so when she tells me she wants to meet somebody famous, I tell her she already has! I think he is my favourite actor now. I saw Sting in Halifax (Nova Scotia, folks!). His g/f was in the hospital room next to my SIL. Kind of surly, although understandabaly, b/c he wasn't there under the best circumstances. It was reported in the news how much he hated Halifax and Nova Scotia. I hope he had the chance to go back under better circumstances. it really is beautiful there. He could find lots of places to meditate and do yoga!

Maybe on my upcoming DCL cruise there will be someone famous? Although I never recognize the famous people, and leave them alone anyway. They are just people, wanting to go the same places we do! I don't ask for autographs.
