Star Island - Need Help

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't find what I'm looking for....I'm staying here for a few days in April...it's my sister's timeshare and I will be arriving a day ahead of her. I'm renting a car at the airport and driving over. Can anyone give me "good" directions to the resort...everything I find on mapquest is confusing....also...

What kind of food places are in that area
How far is it to WDW and Downtown Disney

We stayed at Star Island last year. I just looked it up and found it very easy on Google Maps. Use 5000 Avenue of the Stars, Kissimmee, FL as your search and it will come right up.

It is only about a 15 minute drive to all the parks and downtown. Just outside of the gate is a TGIF that will deliver, Olive Garden accross the street, Smokey Bones is near the Publix grocery store and many other restaurants.

Ok, thanks so much. This is the first time I've stayed off property in many years...not liking the idea of having to drive...I'm so spoiled to using Disney Transportation
