I have never rode the 20,000 leagues ride :boat: and we're just letting Disney ::MickeyMo destroy :badpc: it. Now it's time to stop them, so stand up and do something like write a letter or protest a the theme park. :worship: :boat:

Yea, they closed it 10 years ago...... You are talking about WDW, right?

Someone has been under water for too long..... :confused3

WOW, I can tell by your screen name that you must be the number #1 fan of 20,000 leagues under the sea!!! Imagine that since you have never even rode in it! Unfortunatley you are a tad late with your campaign to try and save it since it has been LONG GONE from WDW for about a decade. I have ridden on it several times and let me tell you from one fan to another - it was cool. Sorry that you missed out and better luck next time. :rotfl:

your pal,
Jules Verne :crazy2:

20,000K in WDW has been paved over and they are building a Winnie the Pooh Hundred Acres Woods meet and greet on the spot.
In my opinion, except for fond childhood memories of being creeped out by the giant squid, the ride was pretty weak. The algae covered fish on sticks swaying back and forth left alot to be desired! Also, because the ride had to be stopped, guest emptied out of the submarines and filled everytime, the ride had notriously long lines. Not the most efficient ride ever made.

Ahhhh! The memories..... I have VERY fond childhood memories of this ride with the two most prevalent being : (1) The guy at the end of the ride saying, "Please take small children by the hair" on accident and all the adults laughing as my mom playfully tugged on mypigtail AND (2) the leak that was dropping on my head as my three year old mind thought I was about to die.

I LOVED THIS RIDE!!!!!!

This was not my favorite attraction but DH loved it and while it was not my favorited I do hate that my youngest DD missed it.

HMMMMMM Maybe someone could start threads to save Horizons and the TOAD to more great attractions that are long gone:(

That ride actually creeped me out. I have a bit of claustrophobia, and being in that small space underwater did me in. Rode it once...never again.

I'm with you - it was cheesy and not well maintained. I'm still sittin' down for this one.

This is like shutting the barn door after the horse has bolted. Its several years to late. I believe this ride has been gone for at least 1o years..smjj

Save Mister Toad! Whoops... never mind.

(Good thing I know where to find him... see you soon, dear!)

We saw the first tree 2 weeks ago. It looked kind of cute. But I do miss 20,000. I appreciate a late comer to the party. :rotfl2:
