Has anyone taken Stacy Julian's "Library of Memories" class through Big Picture Scrapbooking? The concept sounds interesting, but I was wondering how well it worked for "real" people.

Thanks for any help!

Do you have more info on it? Tell us about it. :)

Here's the info from BPS website:

A Library of Memories

Are You Caught Up?

That seems to be the quintessential question when it comes to scrapbooking! What if nobody could tell whether or not you were "behind?" What if the pressure to "keep up" was a forgotten feeling? What if your photos and layouts were stored in way that allowed you to focus on and celebrate the people, places and things that are most important to you? In her best-selling book, The Big Picture, Scrapbook Your Life and a Whole Lot More, Stacy Julian shed light on her liberating approach to capturing and sharing memories. Now, in this one-of-a-kind online course, you can learn all the ins and outs and ups and downs, step-by-step, so that you can successfully adapt Stacy's guilt-free ideas to your own life and scrapbooking goals-the details are here!

In 12 complete lessons spread out over a 16 week period of time, Stacy will walk you through the process of setting up and using A Library of Memories, from selecting and purchasing the organizational products that suit your needs, to corralling years of photos into a usable system, to creating meaningful layouts that feature your pictures in a whole new way. Stacy's goal is simple: "I want to put the fun back into scrapbooking - let's forget the guilt and connect to our true potential as memory makers and story tellers. When that happens, everything else falls into place."

Note: Enrollment for this 2008 session is limited and registration will close once the session is full (no later than one week prior to the start date). The nature of this workshop does not allow late registrations. Additional information about this course is available on the supply list and syllabus. Please print and read these important documents before signing up. This is a commitment that will change your life!

It's $95, registration starts Saturday at 1pm PST.

I was checking this out the other day. If you are interested, definitely be sure to check out the class supply list before you do anything as the items that are recommended in my opinion, are pretty expensive. I would love to do it but the up front cost is a definite budget buster. I ended up purchasing a book called the Organized and Inspired Scrapbooker for $15.64 on Amazon. It is very informative and you can find alot of Stacy Julians concepts in it. If anyone does take this class please let us know how it is. There is also a class on Big Picture Scrapbooking that correlates with the above mentioned book. Patty

I did see that supply list - and I have no idea where I would make room for those file cabinets!

I think I'm going to wait on the class, apparently Stacy Julian has a book coming out that is the same topic as the class, and will probably be 1/3 of the cost.

And, hegs65, thanks for the info on the BPS class that goes along with Organized & Inspired Scrapbooker - I may have to look into that one.

You are very welcome! I really like the book. I am hoping to re-organize for the last time.
