St. Maarten Airport Beachgoer Dies From Jet Blast

While I feel sorry for her family. I don't feel sorry for her. This was a prime example of Darwin's Law in action.
First of all, it can't be Darwin's Law because she's already procreated. Secondly, I do feel sorry for her. She made a terribly bad and fatal choice. I certainly don't bring up "Darwin's Law" like she deserved it.

That is so strange. :confused3

Sorry folks. Just trying to figure out other ways to show photos now that Photobucket is over.

The console log in Chrome shows a 403 error for each of the images. That usually means that I don't have permission to view that resource. I have had lots of problems with accessing Google docs and Google sheets when they are shared. Sometimes I have to login to my Google account to access them and other times I have to log out to see them. I tried both ways to see if your images will load, neither way worked.

Here is the error for each image:

But I think it was mentioned earlier about the payoff. Does the payoff justify the risk?

And by the way, I have skydived, and it's awesome!
What's the payoff for the skydiving?

I don't see any photos, either when I use Firefox or Microsoft Edge. Did you link to these the same way from your Google Photos as you said you did in the other thread about Photobucket?
I think I did. I just redid how I posted the first one. See if it makes a difference. FWIW, I see the pictures in the quote.

Try again. I just created a shareable link for each one, maybe I hadn't done that before.

I meant the Darwin Awards. The Urban Dictionary definition: "Individuals who have supposedly contributed to human evolution by selecting themselves out of the gene pool via death or sterilization by their own actions." There were signs posted that she could die by her own actions. So it wasn't like she didn't know the risks. She died by HER OWN actions.

I think you have to create a "Public" folder within your Google Photos. "Sharing" is supposedly different. It only goes to a few people, or possibly only stays up for a short period of time.

Second, I get people want a thrill -- but Maho beach right there is close enough. Signs are posted for a reason!

The size of the third plane is so different than the the size of the top two. Doesn't the third plane fly mostly by propeller? Or at least for take off? So if there are going to be some type of regulations made and enforced, I would think it has to be about the size of the plane and the amount of jet force coming out of the large jets, in which one can stand at the fence for.

But the point is that she didn't take herself out of the gene pool. According to the previous poster, she had at least one child.

Sorry, but she risked it, and it didn't pay off for her. Sad. But I certainly won't lose any sleep over it.

The feeling of falling at terminal velocity
So the "thrill", right? That's what some people get by standing at the fence. Look, I'm not saying everyone should do it, but it seems strange to call people stupid for doing it "because they might die". ONE person has died in how many years? You might die driving your car. Are people stupid for that? You might die crossing the street. I know you (@Pacolovestacos ) didn't call people stupid, but some have.

Propwash is obviously going to be less intense than the thrust from a GE90 or GE9X. Maybe a turboprop will be more powerful than a small single engine.

My picture is of a prop plane. It flies only because of propeller. However, in my second picture, you can see a jet flying over my head.

Also, a smaller, lighter plane doesn't need as long a runway to land, so it doesn't need to touch down as close to the start of the runway.

Like I've said, I've done things with inherent risk. I guess what happened here could have been mitigated by choosing a different location.
